You're incredibly brave for sharing your story. Thank you! I stumbled on your channel tonight and am so grateful for the serendipity. I've been on a vacillating loop of starting & stopping my own PCOS recovery path. I've yet to meet a (conventional) physician who both cares to and can thoroughly explain the varied causes, as well as treatment options in the relatable way that you do. So much of your content resonates. I'm thankful to have found you early on your journey here and really look forward to following!

I was bleeding for over a month straight. I knew my PCOS was to blame and for the first time I actually took the meds the doctor gave me. The progesterone side effects were so awful for me I had to stop taking it. Hands and feet swelled up, full body itching, depression etc. I went back to herbals and used the raspberry leaf tincture. In a week I was back to normal. I will always rely on herbals and healthier living.

That happened to me too. While I was vegan (don't know if it's related or not) I developed endometriosis and Pcos along with daily bleeding for 2 years until I changed the diet and started eating high fat organic grass fed and using organic products. Been eating like this for a few months. Never been on meds and the bleeding almost stopped, it's rare now, I'm waiting for more changes. How are you doing now? I hope you are good. 🤗

Thanks for sharing this. I also had anorexia around age 16-17 and I also partially caused it because I wasn't eating enough for how much I exercised (I also did running). It's been 6 years since my diagnosis and luckily I now have a great relationship with food and also am doing exercise but weight lifting instead - just like you! I love knowing others have gone through very similar things to me. PS. I am also from Canada - from Toronto aha. Definitely would love to see some health videos on top of your asmr ones :)

Hi sister. I’m really enjoying your videos and I’m watching them all hoping to find the cure. But what caught my attention is how similar we are. I’m taking my MCAT in A month! We are both in the medical field. I’m able to follow your descriptions of the endocrine system, hormones, etc, very well. I also had anorexia for a few years. I was hospitalized and everything. Extremely underweight. Didn’t get my period for 6 years. Finally got my period a year ago yay! I’m suffering from extreme androgenetic alopecia. Don’t let my photo fool you, the hair is extensions. My part is so wide :(. I have very bad facial hair. All on my cheeks, chin, jaw and neck. It’s devastating. I just want to say thank you. I feel so connected to you and it makes me feel less alone on this journey. I want you to be my doctor for this condition. You’re amazing!

Your videos have really provided great information for me. I have the start of androgenic alopecia, with fertility issues, and PCOS where I have a monthly period but I don’t ovulate regularly and cysts that are so painful to deal with. It’s so hard to get information on how to heal. I think my adrenals are even affected by all of it. What are you major staples on how you really defeated that vicious process? Was it the diet change and supplements? If so, how long did it really take till it was reversed?

It looks so similar to what I went through. I got my first period when I was 16. But since then it was happening once every year or every two years. I was okay with it. When I was 19 I went to check what was going on. Not because I was worried but because I was curious about how my body worked. They told me I had psco. I got told that it could affect me in the long term with things such as ovarian cancer, so I decided to solve it and they gave me birth control pills. As soon as I started taking them I felt so miserable. I developed a horrible depression that lasted for several years it ruined my life, I dropped out of uni, I developed and eating disorder, I just wanted to die.

I don’t know if I have PCOS, 1 year ago I was starting to have irregular periods, I think it was because we change states and it was really depressing losing all my friends and family. Then 6 months ago I started to have normal periods and everything just came back to normal, I don’t have any signs of PCOS, and I went to check my ovaries and everything was fine. The only thing that was wrong was my sugar and the chemical that controls the sugar, my doctor told me that I have a possibility to have this, honestly I don’t think I have it. Can someone help me?

    • @semideasmr
      @semideasmr  5 лет назад

Hi Gatito, thanks for sharing your story ❤️ Moving away from family and friends can be incredibly stressful for your hormone system, and produce what's called a "hypothalamic amenorrhea" state. Basically, your body recognizes that you're in a stressful state, and your period becomes irregular so that there's no chance of pregnancy. But I'm glad things have settled down and you're getting your period regularly again! If the only symptoms you are having are blood sugar and insulin problems, then it may be a good idea to work on diet, lifestyle and stress management to help improve this! I'm sure your doctor can help you with this too!
Here's one of my videos on a good diet to balance blood sugar:

Hi there, thanks for reaching out and watching my video! I talk about birth control pills in the following video:
      ruclips.net/video/Rg8qlpIkeds/видео.html
Doctors prescribe the BCP to induce an artificial bleed, however it will not address the root causes of PCOS (insulin resistance, nutrient deficiencies, androgen excess) and will in fact make the causes worse. I recommend consulting a Naturopathic doctor who focuses on women's health and get a second opinion. Here's a great resource explaining BCP and PCOS.

Don't take it. My doctor told me it won't fix anything, it might worsen, but it's the only procedure they know at the moment. I didn't take anything, I did research and I started using only organic products (for house cleaning, body, face, hair but also tampons! ), and eating organic high fat with pasture eggs and grass fed beef and steaks with vegetables and fruits and nuts, sole pasture dairy. It helped 90 percent. I'm still waiting for more updates since my changes are recent. Much health to you 🤗

Interesting, feeling how the bloating and pain receded within approximately two months made all the difference, I simply go’ogled the latest by Tilly Strankten and her Ovarian Cyst Guide and although it really took about 10 weeks for it to totally shrink and vanish I’ve never felt so light and relaxed.

@@raechalkharat9071 Hi Raechal, it sounds like you're going through a difficult time.
I'm really glad you reached out. It's great to hear that you are eating a healthy diet, and that your periods are regular now. You're doing a great job! This will help with hair growth but it will take time. At least 3-6 months to see any changes because of the hair growth cycle.
I do think it's important to get a CBC, and ferritin and B12 because those nutrients are incredibly important for hair growth too. Stress management is also key: yoga, meditation, lots of self care and patience.
I also recommend seeing a naturopathic doctor who focuses on female hormone health, and see if they can help you with specific diet/lifestyle and supplement suggestions.
      Love,
      Semide
