¿Por qué deberíamos practicar el servicio amoroso en nuestra vida diaria? ¿Con qué actitud debemos servir y por qué? Bhagavan nos instruye amorosamente hoy citando hermosos ejemplos de la Naturaleza.
La dirección norte está asociada con los dioses en las escrituras indias, por lo que los seis meses (de Uttarayana, cuando el Sol se mueve hacia el norte) se consideran especialmente adecuados para sadhana y rituales ceremoniales. Pero debo deciros que debéis preocuparos más por el Sol en vuestro firmamento interior que en las profundidades del espacio exterior. ¿Cuál es la sadhana que enviará el Sol interior hacia Dios? Dios está oculto y obstruido por las nubes del egoísmo. Deshacerse del egoísmo es la sadhana que se debe practicar. Aprende una lección del árbol. Cuando está cargado de frutos no levanta la cabeza con orgullo; se inclina y se agacha, como si no se atribuyera ningún mérito por su realización y como si te ayudara a arrancar el fruto. Aprende una lección de los pájaros. Alimentan a quienes no pueden volar muy lejos; el pájaro alivia el picor del búfalo rascándolo con el pico; se ayudan y sirven unos a otros, sin pensar en recompensa. ¿Cuánto más alerta debe estar entonces el hombre con sus habilidades y facultades superiores? El servicio es la mejor cura para el egoísmo; por lo tanto, participe en ello para aliviar el dolor y la pena en la medida que pueda.

Why should we practice loving service in our daily life? With what attitude should we serve and why? Bhagawan lovingly instructs us today quoting beautiful examples from Nature.
The northern direction is associated with the Gods in Indian scriptures, and so, the six months (of Uttarayana, when the Sun moves northward) are considered specially suitable for sadhana and ceremonial rituals. But, I must tell you that you must be concerned more with the Sun in your inner firmament than in the depths of outer space. What is the sadhana that will send the inner Sun Godward? God is hidden and obstructed by the clouds of egoism. Getting rid of egoism is the sadhana to be practised. Learn a lesson from the tree. When it is heavy with fruits it does not raise its head aloft in pride; it bends low, and stoops, as if it does not take any credit for its accomplishment and as if it helps you to pluck the fruit. Learn a lesson from the birds. They feed those who cannot fly far; the bird relieves the itch of the buffalo by scratching it with its beak; they help and serve each other, with no thought of reward. How much more alert must man be, then, with his superior skills and faculties? Service is the best cure for egoism; so, engage in it to relieve pain and grief to the extent that you can.
