  • In this video we will make Roast Beef in the air fryer. Roast Beef is a great tasting and popular way to prepare top round roasts, top sirloin roasts, bottom round/rump roasts and eye of round roasts.
    It is a great tasting and popular dish of beef that is roasted, usually served as the main dish of a meal, and often served with a side of vegetable and with gravy. Sliced roast beef is also sold as a cold cut, and is also a popular sandwich filling.
    Making Roast Beef usually consists of several hours of prep and oven time but in the air fryer (I’m using a COSORI) this is easy to make and can be on the table in less than an hour, depending on the size of the meat and how well you want your meat “done”.
    Although I do enjoy hot sliced roast beef with gravy and sides of veggies like carrots and mashed potatoes, I actually prefer it on sandwiches whether it’s a nice Roast beef sub sandwich or a French Dip/Roast beef aus jus.
    How do you like it served?
    Give this a shot and let me know in the comments what you thought.

    INGREDIENTS LIST
    Approximately 800 to 1000 grams (about 2-2.5 pounds) of top round top, sirloin roasts, bottom round/rump roasts or eye of round roasts.
    Make sure it fits into your air fryer.
    In this video I’m using a Top Round a little over 1 kilo grams.
    Olive oil, probably about half a cup
    And about half cup of seasonings to rub on the outside of the meat before cooking. It can be as simple as salt and pepper.
    For the record, I used (McCormick) Montreal steak seasoning, which lists these in the ingredients: Coarse Salt , Black Pepper and Red Pepper, Garlic, Onion, Sunflower Oil and Chipotle powder.)

    What should the meat temperature be for well done beef please ?
    We've had an air-fryer for a few months, but have only used it to cook chicken. Now today, I have been given the task to try roast beef for the first time. Agh !
    Luckily we do have a thermometer, although I don't think it was ever opened, let alone used before.

      @keneats  5 месяцев назад +1

      I believe the meat should be 170F / 75C. Though it might leave the meat a bit dry and less flavor. Hope it works out well to your liking.

      @keneats  Год назад +2

      That sounds delicious. I'd give that a shot for sure. I had to look into Yorkshire pudding just now. I'm surprised it doesn't look like pudding as I know it. That's my kind of food! Thanks!!!

      Yorkshire pudding is also great as a sweet pudding - pour over golden syrup and cream and eat……. Lovely

    Seems it is cooked more than medium Rare.. I guess I’ll explore the timing for it to be a bit more rare ..

  • @dominicgo477
    @dominicgo477 Год назад +1

    Good idea, but u have to take it out earler than 130F, as the residual heat will push your meat past medium rare

    • @keneats
      @keneats  Год назад +1

      The temp to remove it would depend on how well/rare/medium you’d want the meat for sure. This video is based on what I’ve roughly been going by. It definitely would require people to make it a few times to be able to get as rare or more well done to their liking.

      In Celsius, right? Should be good enough. Just be sure to take an internal temp reading and adjust the cooking time accordingly.
      Hope it works out.

    NO on the aluminum foil. Shouldn't ever touch your food. I know it's the easiest/best but it's unhealthy......So I'll try this by putting it into a corning ware casserole dish and see how that goes.
