I dont GAF what no one say...This is 1000% the best pod in the land.😢😢😢 I haven't seen Men publicly acknowledged a woman's feelings and or happiness on a public platform ever. Mel needed this session with her brothers. I hope she felt heard in this moment!!! Her person is out there!!! They will find each other in due time. Open yourself up to Happiness. Love y'all 💜💜💜
Mel person is Mel. She was a video model, treated a certain way, she was a model, a actress, she is used to be catered to, appeased by men. Anytime a man does not appease her, she finds fault, but basically its appeasement. Mel has stated she have dated men of all types, plenty, the common component is Mel. If genuine live and aff3ction cannot be found, you start with the common denominator, it's always Mel.
Women get recognized and represented all over platforms. Even have their own. That's what made kevin samuels a favorite for men. We finally had sum1 advocating for us.
This might be my favorite episode so far. I applaud Mel's openness. I'm sure being open about something so personal in front of hundreds of thousands of people isn't easy. And the last 30ish minutes had me dying 😂.
Flip was amazing in this episode. Really put the depth of his mind on display, and greatly helped make this a classic episode. Greatest pod in the world.
flip's serious side is quite literally a gift that he should give the world more of. you can always see it in how loyal he is with friends but help mel open up and speak about something like that was different.
I agree, but not enough. I wish there was another woman’s perspective so Mel doesn’t get drowned out in misogyny as often. As well as another male perspective that is more emotionally intelligent.
Flip demonstrated that he’s the most emotionally intelligent member of this podcast staff. And so much love and props out to M4. This was therapeutic and inspiring.
People I hope you agree with me that this was such a heartfelt episode. So many people - including me - relate with Mel's situation and approach. We have been hurt so much that we cope by never really attaching, and detaching easily. It's unhealthy but we believe we need to do that to protect ourselves. And the one time we don't do that and let our guard down, we are disappointed so badly that we become even more guarded.
I appreciate how Joe was quiet and attentive in letting parts of this episode unfold without rushing them or interrupting. I loved this episode for the vulnerability and connection in it.
Joe is funny when he gets caught. He’s the master at gaslighting, moving the goalposts, changing the topic when he’s caught red handed. This also explains the tension between Joe and Ish, I knew Joe was jealous of ice but didn’t know why…now we know
This episode was sooo fire!! I’ve learned something about Joe in some of these debates he has with Ish. Joe gives vague explanations of his views initially and then when he’s about to get pinned, he pivots his view, which changes the dynamic of the conversation. For this debate in particular, I gave it to Ish lol. Good stuff fellas! Mel’s transparency piece was insightful and I believe she helped a lot of people who struggle with pessimism.

Wow Flip is introspective and thought-provoking when he wants to be lol. It's nice to see, aside from the turn up and yelling. My heart goes out to Mel because I totally understand where she's coming from and I relate. I wish her the best in the future. Props to y'all for creating a safe space for this dialogue.
Mel. Sorry for your loss. It’s amazing to understand. I lost my mom to cancer too. I wish I could give you a hug. I know Flip only has good intentions, but everyone deserves love and happiness. Hope and faith is something we learn and become better at. Because of this lesson, you have become stronger but please never give up on hope. God bless ❤
Flip dropped a gem. Mel detaches so easy from expectations to the point that she'll manifest subpar experiences. I think that detachment is to protect her from disappointment. I know if Mel read this, she'd feel where I'm coming from. Universal Laws!
@@KemetShamar How do you know all of that though? And do you think compassion is conditional? I guess it's the humanity in me that see's beyond all this stuff that trips ya'll up.
I think Mel is right. If you are dealing with someone, and that person is going through something traumatic, you should at least be honest and have the decency to tell them that you want to leave due to whatever reason -Too early in the relationship -Not enough emotional bandwidth To ghost someone or slowly distancing themselves during that is really scummy
😢Not me here crying having a full blown therapy session with y’all…Mel describes textbook depression/anxiety/ptsd coping mechanisms & the boys may not understand those things fully (especially without therapy) but because Flip is such an emotional human, he naturally picks up on & applaud him for caring for his friends…& Mel & Ice being so brave enough to open up! I hope the cast genuinely is there for each other as friends because it’s hard to come by, especially when you’re older. Wishing all the best & healing & happiness❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely feel for Mel and she's super strong. This was such a great episode and I'm glad to see that the crew are so supportive of her and each other. This is definitely a true gem of an episode. And I'm a solidified Melody!
@@blissdad13 Is this intended to be a legitimate question or is this meant to be one of those questions where you act like you're oblivious but the real intent is to spark a debate because you disagree with my statement? I'm not trying to be funny either.
She was shown to be rude and inconsiderate in this episode.. not bothering to send the wig back after joe went out of his way to send it to her.. not even bothering to respond. For weeks. Hella inconsiderate. Not bothering to respond regarding the braid connect either. That's clearly her get down.. Hella rude.. is that what you consider strong? Basically.. she asked for favors.. using her pretty privilege.. got them.. and ghosted.. as far as not responding.. then she talks about being upset.. that hee rich funny looking dude that she was in a long distance relationship with for a mere 7 months.. ghosted her. I bet he she was hella rude and inconsiderate to him as well. Id bet real money on that! Notice all she talked about was what she needed and what she was going through... She said nothing about what he needed... nothing.. And she has no idea how he experienced being with her. None....... How about we hold everyone accountable for their own bs.. even if they are pretty.. she is exactly where her personal choices led her to be.. Oh yeah... and she didn't even use the gdamm wigs he sent her. Which is Hella high maintenance..many of her points showed this.... she is not low maintenance.. which is perfectly fine.. shes a baddie.old baddie.. but still a baddie...she gets to be high maintenance.. but it does show lack of true self awareness.. and women with low self awareness, get ghosted...somebody is gonna have to tell em theyre trash.. butnit aint gotta be me!!!.. just saying.. I enjoyed this episode. Bless.
Love the Mel topics yall, they hit home always! especially the ones on detaching and saying you're alright, when in reality the truth differs. Real shit some of these relationships we get into and the fall out of them can do years of emotional damage that many of us dont know how to get over, that conversation of trauma and how various the results can derail someone's growth, would be a topic id love to hear the crew talk more about during the personal segments!
@@garthyahudahandrews8504 that's fine too each their own, I think they can touch any subject tbh and some will get it and some it just ain't for and that's aight, why I love them compared to most podders. Whatever they do, they'll glow fr.
@@long-style facts, and I very much agree on Mel having more time to voice instead of getting talked over!!!! But at the same time, Joe is Joe. We wouldn't have this streamlined podcast at the top now, without his arguably controlling podfathership lol.

I think it’s good for the female fans of her to see someone they admire is going through every day shit JUST like them- very relatable. Also, for the guys that have been holding on to this fantasy about her and others like her in her industry, it shows them that shit stinks even if it looks sweet 😂
My respect LEVEL has just gone through the roof for FLIP! Extremely Constructive conversation, and I love how Mel was receptive to it. Strong Black Woman!!!
Mel, 37 year old, avoidant attachment style woman here. I loss My Mommy a few years ago. I truly understand losing men while experiencing life changing trauma and female relationships revealing themselves after the death of My Womb. It’s literally as if the veil was torn away. I literally have no one to talk to. I pray you heal and love finds you. The correlation is because a lot of times us women get turned out young and gain experience. Being turned out makes you imbalanced. The imbalance with the experience causes the limits to be pushed. Pain threshold is higher. Boundaries at times don’t exist. Don’t ask me how I know.
I was not expecting all of this. This show was soooo good but triggering at the same time. I completely identify with Mel. Someone I was in love with left when I got Cancer. Flip really opened my eyes to my detachment style. Whew! This was therapeutic. REALLY good show!!
I didn't think Mel waa a food fit for this show at first. I loved watching her on Hollywood unlocked and her own podcast and i do see the difference and i know some major things have happened that would change anyone. I just want to say that it was those podcast i watched during the pandemic thay got me through. Melyssa and i are around the same edge. Life can change you unfortunately. Remove your hopes and dreams. Especially when you get to this age and you figure the rest of our lives will be this way. Wishing you the best Melyssa. Happy to see you still going.
My condolences to Gillie and his entire family. I dont know what words you could speak to someone who has lost a child. No parent should ever have to bury a child 🤦🏿♂️ My heart truly goes out to that family! Rip Big Chesse 🙏🏿 🙌🏿

Omg what a great friend Joe is. He took Mel wig shopping to help her out. That’s beyond sweet. Mel, you are a gorgeous woman. I love you best in your natural hair. Absolutely stunning!
I agree but he probably feels like Turn Up Flip got him to where he is with the skits, etc so it'll be a while before this side of Flip becomes a regular occurrence
Watch his podcast episodes. They were really good. Thats how i knew of flip he's probably the only pod I've watched where any person comes on and he gets deep into their story and its always interesting.
This is a GREAT adult conversation about love, care, respect and connection. About ideals and reality. Walking the fine line between genuine HOPE and practical reality o what a partner can deliver. Welcome to mating n dating n relating in the 21st cent. BTW Ish made a GREAT point about finding out what a connection is really made of when your back is against the wall. And love Flip's exposé of Mel n his relationship. That's rare. That ability to outline a platonic caring friendship.❤

My heart goes out to Mel because I totally understand where she's coming from and I relate. I wish her the best in the future. Props to y'all for creating a safe space for this dialogue.
Joe buying and picking out the wigs for Mel is absolutely insane 😭 nah Joe is a great boss man
Mad insane and hilarious
Facts!!
Cartoon man sketch it up
This episode is special. Yall are truly necessary.
God bless ❤
This episode made me subscribe to Patreon 100% it was so raw filled with up & down emotions I LOVED IT!
Flip dropped a gem. Mel detaches so easy from expectations to the point that she'll manifest subpar experiences. I think that detachment is to protect her from disappointment. I know if Mel read this, she'd feel where I'm coming from. Universal Laws!
This is deep as shit
@@KemetShamar huh? She said something colorist?
@@KemetShamarhow is she a colorist and have said she and admitted to dating all kinds of people and different colors
@@KemetShamarDemons can’t become angels?
@@KemetShamar How do you know all of that though? And do you think compassion is conditional? I guess it's the humanity in me that see's beyond all this stuff that trips ya'll up.
I think Mel is right. If you are dealing with someone, and that person is going through something traumatic, you should at least be honest and have the decency to tell them that you want to leave due to whatever reason
-Too early in the relationship
-Not enough emotional bandwidth
To ghost someone or slowly distancing themselves during that is really scummy
I agree
7 monthS? Nah I'm out.
She's right and I agree but that don't mean it's realistic to expect or do.
She wasn't even In a real relationship.
Philosopher Flip in his bag today…I want an episode like this for everyone
😢Not me here crying having a full blown therapy session with y’all…Mel describes textbook depression/anxiety/ptsd coping mechanisms & the boys may not understand those things fully (especially without therapy) but because Flip is such an emotional human, he naturally picks up on & applaud him for caring for his friends…& Mel & Ice being so brave enough to open up! I hope the cast genuinely is there for each other as friends because it’s hard to come by, especially when you’re older. Wishing all the best & healing & happiness❤️❤️❤️
This episode was fire!!!!! The group therapy session had me in tears, I totally related to every word shared! Thank you 😢🙏❤
I’m really sitting in my room crying right now because I can relate to Mel so much
I absolutely feel for Mel and she's super strong. This was such a great episode and I'm glad to see that the crew are so supportive of her and each other. This is definitely a true gem of an episode. And I'm a solidified Melody!
Why do you feel for her?
@@blissdad13 Is this intended to be a legitimate question or is this meant to be one of those questions where you act like you're oblivious but the real intent is to spark a debate because you disagree with my statement? I'm not trying to be funny either.
@@kris6865 serious question.
What about her is strong?
I just wish Joe let more space for these to happen.. as soon as Mel has a deep topic Joe takes control and moves the convo away
Shout out Keke Palmer
I’m good on all that 😂
@@garthyahudahandrews8504 that's fine too each their own, I think they can touch any subject tbh and some will get it and some it just ain't for and that's aight, why I love them compared to most podders.
1:43:33 love this pod. I’m laid up in the hospital. Just had a colostomy (shit bag) reversal. So glad y’all give me life in this sad ass building.
Get better soon
Honestly, watching them do this made me realize the flaws in myself at times. Us men have the tendency to be so concentrated in the ''solution'' or extracting the lesson out of the experience that we can sometimes completely miss what is going on right before our eyes. The point wasn't more important than empathizing with the full context and attempting to understand why Mel came to that conclusion. I recently had an argument with a close female friend and at some point while I was reiterating my point for perhaps the 100TH time I looked up and realized she was crying, at that moment I had a bit of an epiphany, and realized I care wayyyy more about her than I do about this argument and while trying to show her where some of what she was saying may not have made complete sense I literally was neglecting to see her and notice how much the conversation was hurting her until it came out in tears. To be clear I don't think men should coddle women's feelings and tell them what they want to hear but I think we can do a better job of incorporating empathy in certain conversations.
Spot on bro, frfr
Big ups to QueenzFlip for analyzing Mel’s feelings and having empathy to open up to her in private, salute!
Thats how you know its genuine
😂😂😂😂😂😂 YOU NIGGAS IS DIFFERENT
@@onemanarmy1873your name is "one man army", you niggas don't exist
Flip was in his bag this episode. Mel is the MVP for being open and not taking it personal!
I’m in stitches😂😂😂😂 this whole Mel wig segment is GOLD! Joe said she looked like a 🦝 😮😂
LMAOOO🤣
JOE SAID "She had to have had to FINAGLE" lol!!!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Listening to Mel is like looking into a mirror…thank you for sharing your experience with us ❤
Shout out to Dasiy getting sick of Ish and Joe screaming and doing the walk off 😂😂😂. This was really good! May have to become a patreon member for more of this.
This episode was fire! Y’all got blessed
Lol mr Patreon over here
They’ve been gettin blessed while we’ve been gettin starved. So much for “the patronies are gonna eat” 😂
MORE OF THIS.
Joe this is y’all sweet spot. This is what was needed when the immature jokes left & the mature conversations started. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Nah we need both, life is both funny and unfunny. To deny one type of convo over the other is a fools mentality.
Joe loves the immature shit. Flip is the immature shit. But seeing flip lead the convo today was different. Showed a broader side to him
I’ve said this in the comments before… I hate that it’s always jokes and immaturity 💯 we be wanting the serious conversations
“Ronald Isley” 🤣🤣 & ish ran with it lmfaooo
Flip and Ish are the best conversationalists on this pod, they will ask the deep questions and have you talking
Big thanks to the JBP crew for the content 👊🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏾
Wow I really cried please let Mel vent more. Women need this support and level of safety from men ❤
Mel needed more understanding to be honest. She had great points
This episode was a whole therapy session 🔥
Like every Paetron episode damn near talking about Mel’s relationship issues 😂
I think it’s good for the female fans of her to see someone they admire is going through every day shit JUST like them- very relatable.
Also, for the guys that have been holding on to this fantasy about her and others like her in her industry, it shows them that shit stinks even if it looks sweet 😂
One of the best episodes ever ❤ much love from
Australia 🇦🇺
If the patreon is giving this, I'm about to subscribe. This episode is everything
My respect LEVEL has just gone through the roof for FLIP!
Extremely Constructive conversation, and I love how Mel was receptive to it.
Strong Black Woman!!!
Same I love Flip
I mean at this point I'm barely feeling their vacation 😂😭 keep these Patreon episodes coming please

Wtf that gotta do wit this podcast
I was about to say the same thing but I think Nigas using that as bait, yes our condolences to Gille and wallo wish them the strength they need and clarity in this difficult time, but we commenting on the amazing content the JBP is delivering
Did they talk about that on this one? I must’ve missed it!

I loved this episode!!! I love Mel for finally being vulnerable & being open to hearing her brothers out! I love flip for putting the foolishness aside & brotherly loving on his sis, during her time of need. & Shout out to the other guys for keeping it 💯 with sis! I loved this episode! 💝
Omg what a great friend Joe is. He took Mel wig shopping to help her out. That’s beyond sweet. Mel, you are a gorgeous woman. I love you best in your natural hair. Absolutely stunning!

@@Meds1000MD I disagree
This was a great conversation. It made me think about a lot and why I am becoming detached
Flip, this who you need to be every episode stop holding yourself back bro
I agree but he probably feels like Turn Up Flip got him to where he is with the skits, etc so it'll be a while before this side of Flip becomes a regular occurrence
I soooo appreciated Flip's POV. It gave room for Mel to exhale. 🫡
Watch his podcast episodes. They were really good. Thats how i knew of flip he's probably the only pod I've watched where any person comes on and he gets deep into their story and its always interesting.
This is how he runs his shows
This shit gave me life 💯🔥🔥 I really appreciate the real convos y’all be having the world need this
I'm now a patreon member 😂 this episode sold me
This is a GREAT adult conversation about love, care, respect and connection.
When Flip said "How is a Ni99@ name in China" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
One of my favorite episodes this far! I personally needed this & can relate to Melissa on so many levels. This episode felt like family talkin 🖤
