  • The meeting called by the federal government on Wednesday to discuss the national minimum wage for workers ended abruptly as leaders of organised labour staged a walk-out. The Labour leaders condemned the federal government’s proposed N48,000 minimum wage.

    The Tripartite Committee on Minimum Wage will reconvene on Tuesday, May 23 to further negotiate a reasonable new minimum wage for workers, after organised labour walked out of the negotiation.
