    I bought this system two yrs ago, sometimes I think back to some of the nightmares I have had prior to using this...along with the vanguard chimney scaffold, all I can do is thank God for this system

    I love this - because it's simple, easy and looks sturdy (not flimsy)! Excellent design!

    Nice video! Made by workers for worker's, without any bullshit. I've had to makeshift and nail through roofs for years. Always funny when I tell people that while I'm doing their roof I could fix their chimneys and they go cheap. Only to call back in later to do it after I've replaced the roof, you can't do it then. Because the new shingles completely seal together for better wind resistance.

    This is a perfect solution for me to do roof repairs and chimney repairs on my home. I will have to build mine though. I have more steel than I have money. But if I get to making some money I might have to order a set as a thank you for the idea.
    The set I build will be different though.

    Anyone who works on roofs shares the same concerns. It's great there are new methods and tools being developed that can improve worker safety.

    • @stephenbushway9885
      @stephenbushway9885 4 года назад +1

      Most building supply companies (and Home Depot) sell "ladder ridge hooks". Get the ones with a wheel on the other side so you can roll it up the roof without risk of scratching the metal.

    Great product. I built similar ones for chimney rebuilds long time ago.
    Funny thing how the guy walks up on the slippery BS contraption ridgehook ladder which is used now because the safety nazi imbeciles banned the steel thin wall tubing "chicken ladder" ridgehooks from the market in the 90's even though they provide hand grip and secure footing with the rungs further off the roof. Had to weld up my own too.

    • @michaelperry4398
      @michaelperry4398 4 года назад

      I have a real "chicken ladder" they still sell them. It's blue. The one I have is a dedicated chicken ladder. Wich one are you saying is banned?

    • @oneyaker
      @oneyaker 4 года назад

      @@michaelperry4398 Yes, the blue ones. It was banned for a while in the 90's after some accident and OSHA nixed it. I made 2 including the extensions from chrome molly tubing. Exact copies.

    Your crossbraces don't comply with OSHA regulations. You need mid rail and top rails.

    Hear all my life, I've thought it was being lazy that inventions came from. Now I know I can add to it FEAR. Born into a 100 year old roofing family,(and I being afraid of heights!) my father invented many items to ease our workday. (Pitch & Slag still HELL any time we worked) he invented an automated Pitch Kettle. Kept it at 400 by just plugging it in to a 110 outlet, an all aluminum roof scraper one man could carry to the roof on a ladder. this looks like a Great product you should send a set to This Old House, you'll be able to stop being a Masson, and just make your invention. Congratulations on a well thought out idea!
