It is a kanye west remix Kanye west was very much known for his input of strings. If you listen closely you can here a young john legend who was signed to G.O.O.D. Music during this making of this song. The song didn't require Kanye to rap on this song seeing that at the same time Adam Levine was collabing with West on Hear Em Say at the same time. This to me is probably the best redition of this song to me as far as production goes but that is my opinion.
