have you seen videos of Master Chen Luk San on youtube? I think he's very good. He does an internal version of Bak Mei/Lung Ying

Some techniques remind bit of Wing Tsun. But overrall, maybe thats why they seem to work well, simplicity.
I agree! the compactness of the techniques is really apt for people like us with smaller builds/shorter reach
The reason why you see wing chun similarities is , this style alongside four others are its ancestors.That's a fact from a wing chun practioner. If it wasn't for this style there would be no wing chun.

Kung Fu is too predictable to be effeective on a street behind an MMA match.
real kung du is unpredictable, especially if sparring was used in training. btw, mma is sport, not real combat.
