I lead Drifblim in the Great League a lot but I run Icy Wind/Mystical Fire. In situations where both moves are neutral I throw Icy Wind first then laugh as their A-slash comes in and “catches” a Mystical Fire when I throw the second move. Or I’ll throw Mystical Fire at an Altaria to get a shield then hit them with Icy Wind next time. Everyone assumes you have Shadow Ball lol
I like running Drifblim as well, and have often thought about doing this. But surely you miss the closing power of shadow ball too much? Getting walled by other ghosts like Jellicent must be depressing 😢 Is it worth it? 🤔
@@richardlong8021I didn’t see a single Jellicent this past Great League rotation. Sableye, Trevenant, and Froslass were the only ghosts I consistently saw. And I play for fun, not to climb lol. I’ve never gone above Ace because I refuse to use the super meta mons. So to answer your question, no I don’t miss shadow ball

The more I play UL, the more I realize rank doesn't really matter that much for the first 200 mon or so. Hit legend the last two seasons with Guzzlord, and approaching 2400 with it now, and it's rated really low.
After like catching enough fuecoco to max one to lv 50 . I finally found a rank 19 UL and will probably build it the next time UL is around. It will probably go crazy with blast burn then

I tried it on lead as well and had a similar “catch.” A lot of people weren’t expecting mystical fire.

In great league I was actually using swampert Drifblim and Skeledirge. It did pretty good there. But was more for fun

Tapu loses the 0 shields to greninja if you go straight surf as a tapu which is wild 😂is a great corebreaker in the ultra league

Mine is 2 15 11. I do think having a high rank is important. That bulk us huge in some matchups
