Too bad for Walsh in 99, but what a career for her and May. Walsh goes to 3 finals in her 4 years at Stanford and gets 2 titles. May leads LB in 98 to a completely undefeated season. Then, to top it all off, they team up and get 2 Olympic golds in 04 and 08; not to mention their multiple MVP awards both overseas and domestically.
To see how far Misty and Kerri have come now. With them both at 3 Olympic Gold Medals is crazy. Even though Penn State won this one Stanford is still more dominant with 9 NCAA titles and Penn State is at 7 titles.
Actually the Penn State dynasty began in 2007..since then they have dominated. Last time Stanford won was in '04. Miss Stanford being the top powerhouse.
This was the start of Penn States dynasty! Before that it was Stanford that was the dominant team. They had great players in Walsh and Tom who had their share of championships. I believe the last time Stanford won a title was during the 01 or 02 season. Tom was a senior and was and in my opinion still a terrific all-around player. Now a days, it's all Penn St.

Yuyi Zhou it’s been 7 years but I’ll answer your question. Lol. Game point was at 15 because they played side out scoring instead of rally scoring. Side out scoring, you have to win the ball back and then score again to get a point.
@wdsr5 As much as I like LT, I going to have to disagree with Marlowe on that one. She doesn't appear to transition to both versions of the sport as well as Karch did. I would have to say Misty is the female Karch. She's simply the most complete female player ever. I would classify LT as more of a Steve Timmons or Pat Powers; therefore, she is still awesome.

The scoring is so weird if you are used to the rally scoring system.
