- Hello everyone! In the beginning of 2022, I challenged myself to create 100 gouache studies of scenes from some of my favorite movies, TV shows, RUclips channels, and more. I’m so thrilled to announce that I finally achieved that mountain of a goal this month, and in today’s video I’ll be sharing my biggest sketchbook tour yet. You are adorable and I absolutely love your positivity! I don't think you know how amazingly talented you really are. You're on RUclips, when in reality you should be over at Pixar or Disney or whatnot.
You may want to get some wax on those pages, traditional gouache tends to stick together over time and it would be an absolute tragedy if you lost the art in that book!

Loving your work and how authentic you are pointing out faults that need more practice. I'm going to take a leaf out of your book, and have practice themes without expectations on my sketchbooks. Loved looking at all of these beautiful scenes! I guess I didnt realize that us artists are allowed to paint scenes from movies (as practice). Although I have seen a few other people who have painted Bilbo's house (which of course is very popular). But this is a wonderful idea to try!! I have started drawing houses in my area (that I photograph first) and then draw + color in. I see now I can expand on that to stuff from movies too so I can expand what I draw (because obviously stuff in your own area is limited). This is a great idea! I know so far I am good at drawing houses but lousy at drawing people (especially faces) but this lets you practice all sorts of stuff. I will try this!

Every scene study was absolutely perfect and stunning! It showed your hardwork and talent too! Loved all the studies. They really looked like digital prints instead of paintings. Woww! You are really good at what you do 😀 i wonder how you mix so many colors with just the primaries? Would love to know some tips for color mixing 😀
Thank you so much!! 💛 When working with primaries, the quality of paint really matters. I use Winsor and Newton gouache which mix well together without muddying up my colors! I have a series of videos on gouache basics for beginners which goes into more detail about gouache brands and color mixing. But I’m hoping to create a more in-depth color mixing video soon!! 💛
I absolutely love that version of Pride and Prejudice. It is a bit of a guilty pleasure but I love it anyway. That scene with the kegs of ice cream 😂
Ahhh I've never met anyone who's seen it too!! It's such a fantastically terrible movie. Those kegs of ice cream always have me giggling 😂

Thank you so much!! I use mainly two screencap websites called Animation Screencaps and Movie-Screencaps to find the scenes I want to study. 💛

Each and every painting is soo detailed and amazing, really enjoyed watching this video ,how long did u take to complete one painting ?
Aww thank you so much!! 💛 Hmmm that's a good question. Early on, most scene studies took me between 5-7 hours. However, the more I learned about color mixing along the way and developed a painting process that worked well for me, I got faster. So by the end, most scene studies took me around 2-3 depending on the complexity of the scene.
