@@Oz__MTG We run a bit lower power decks in average in my household playgroup (brothers and my dad, who is from ye olde days). Example being my Slimefoot and Squee deck only having sacrifice outlets with tap as part of the activation. Still, that was in Miirym for two games. It got removed and put into an Angry Omnath deck instead because it was way, way, way too gross in Miirym
Rule zero is brought up a lot nowadays. Might be helpful in a fun and casual setting for sure. The pod I play in normally has a rule zero talk with occasional surprises really. I enjoy playing some high power once in a while, but the pod? Not so much. I mean even a mana crypt is a problem when it’s played there.
@@magnuslayton8827I pulled one in my pre release and put it into my miirym deck, I'll probably take it out because it forces me to do too much math tbh. The sheer amount of triggers is annoying.
@@Oz__MTG Well, considering I built the majority of decks at the table, I love putting in fun and splashy cards, but some things warp the game far too much. My dad doesn't deal well with massive board states, and one of our players is lower skill so the decks I built for him are low ceiling. It's still fun in general, but my brother and I are the best players in the house and it's not exactly like we're there to go sealclubbing
I reallywant this in my Dinosaur Kindred Commander Deck, but Roaming throne is way past my budget and my tables powerlevel (though the artifact player keeps pushing the powerlevel upwards
Yeah I hear you! Most pods really want to stay within lvl 7 or under most of the time from what I hear. But how does one even define power level nowadays? It’s pretty rough to determine what one’s deck level is just by adding or removing a few cards in it. The one thing I’d criticize about power level discussion is that you’re never guaranteed a god hand at your card draw, so power level to me should be determined by the luck of draw really, not that one is always going to be lucky enough to draw all the PERFECT 7 cards in the very beginning. For example, my decks all average out around 8+ in my head, but sometimes I draw terrible hands and then suddenly I feel like I am running a precon deck.
This thing is more kill on sight than most commanders.
@@magnuslayton8827 that is extremely true! 😆

Ward 2 was just not necessary. Feels forced
Sometimes, you’re forced to pay the price.
