- Here is a presentation and demo of the Super Monotron DELAY, a modified version of the Korg Monotron Delay inside a keyboard for children from the early 80's.
New features :
resonance control
square waveform with pulse width modulation control for LFO
LFO routing to the filter
LFO acting as an oscillator
replacement of the ribbon by a push pull knob + pitch potentiometer
keyboard (but not working correctly)
octave selector
Amazing. Congratulations!
very interesting, wish i could see more like a "normal" synthesizer lol. but very impressive, thank you!
Good!
Really interesting and cool work guys! :)
Only this synth are big (physically), but the sound is "little"....
I mean the sound looks like a filtered (High Pass, too much)...
I don't know the schematics of monotrons, but which value of the audio output's capacitor (or maybe value of capacitor before the input of VCF/VCA section) in your synth?
Just for my ears this sound looks like a ~0.5 - 2.2uF, and maybe for getting a more bassy/fully sound you need just to change a value of the output cap for larger (for example 4.7-10uF)?....
I don't know why (maybe for some hum/noise reduction), but today a lot of modern analog synths (especially little synths) has a small value of the output capacitors, and the sound of they haven't a massive Low Frequencys...
Strange standard for me, because I love a "big-fat" of old-school analog sound :)
schematic is on korg site. (monotron/monotron delay/monotron duo)
elinize sağlık!
Woooowww! Very hard, weird and fat sound!
paranormaltonal çok iyiymiş ahahahhahs
more info about modifications?
