There's a gate on Boyle (blocked by encampments) and another gate on 6th near the bridge. There's a little trail that runs along the edge of the hill next to the freeway that cuts the corner. At your own risk though..

There's access to the bridge via that section where the encampments are located at 8:50?! I had no idea you could get to the bridge from there.
