Wow, that pressure against the bevel comment makes so much sense. I was angling the blade to get itnto bite then reangling it once the feather was started. I will try your method next time. Your knife looks awesome too. Still liking it? I love mine.
The Scrawny Lumberjack that’s what I meant a good carving wood and good wood for a spindle and board for fire making but I think it’s found more in desert areas or midwestern states if i am wrong let me know I’ve never worked with it personally just watched others on videos. I’m guessing we got lost on n translation love the blade she’s a beauty.

Loving the AS classic. Haven’t found an AS blade I don’t like.
Cotton wood works well though I’m guessing u don’t have any or very little where u are.
Barry Bueler I don’t think so it’s pretty similar to basswood and tulip poplar from my understanding.
