Marsh is a compilation of many famous, and even, sacred motifs. He is good at it. But, the statement of the author of the video that this is a ceremonial SOViET (?)march is nonsense.
Don't forget that the Empress Catherine the Great was German, and before WW I the Russian army was heavily influenced by Germans, partly as a result of Catherine being on the throne.

Same thing here! I used to live in soviet union before it collapsed. 1989-1991
But they aren't really soviet. If u listen carefully it's from romanov era or even earlier

One of my favorite marches, who actually composed this, Tchernetsky or Glinka? Because I some videos stating that Glinka composed this one.
