I'm confused. My machine arrived today. It's advertised as 'heavy duty metal' it actually says so on the box. But it's plastic, very light, it feels not even as sturdy as a child's toy. Why is it advertised as metal? What the dodgy-advertising heck is that about?
Hello! On this particular machine the feed dogs can't be dropped but a 'Darning Plate' comes with the machine to cover the feed dogs for free motion quilting. That is your tension dial. For most regular sewing and thread, you won't need to do much adjusting of that dial.
