GRAMMY, CMA and ACM award winner Ashley McBryde cut her teeth playing country songs in biker bars - and it shows. The Grand Ole Opry member’s 2018 major label debut Girl Going Nowhere (Warner Music Nashville) charmed The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, Paste, The Washington Post and more, all en route to landing a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. McBryde closed out 2019 with ACM New Female Artist, CMT Breakout Artist, a New Artist of the Year win at the 53rd Annual CMA Awards and two nominations for the 2020 GRAMMYs for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for “Girl Goin’ Nowhere.” Her follow-up Never Will was tagged by Rolling Stone as one of the most anticipated of the year alongside NPR, who also ranked her Top 10 RIAA Platinum-Certified single “One Night Standards” as one of the best songs of 2019. FANTASTIC song. Your music is my favorite. I am 76 and wish I had a bonfire or two, never thought of doing it. I've been single for 31 years now, I may just have a bonfire anyway. I hope you send a copy of each of your records to the teacher who said you're a girl going nowhere and I hope she never discourages anyone like that again. So proud of you.
That wasn’t a teacher in my opinion. My granddaughter had a 4th grade teacher who broke her heart. Ko has juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and asked to go to the office to call home. This woman told her my husband has arthritis and you complain more than he does. I sent her a message 6 yrs later and told her what she did to my granddaughter. She didn’t remember saying this but Ko’s best friend was this teachers favorite and she told me that she said that and in my message I let her this. That day her bff came home with us and her mom picked her up. When Kris told her what she said to Ko she was furious. I told her she owed Ko an apology.
Ko has had to be homebound for 1 1/2 yrs and has done the online from her school for the last three yrs.
This teacher did make up for it by writing Ko a letter. It really made a change in her even after all these years. It showed her that she was validated for this debilitating disease.

I have Lupus and all of us awful friends that go along with it. My arthritis is different than that if my husband's. I can tell you it's going to rain a few days beforehand. My husband's arthritis doesn't affect him the same way. Each person is different, so with that said she should've let your granddaughter go to the office to call home. It's shameful what her teacher said and did.

When my ex hubby left,I had a cpl of friends who didnt like each other but,came together to take turns caring for me & my kids while I raged,cried at the bonfire. All night.I had a hell of a hangover that day but,I sure did get a lot of rage out and,my kids never having to witness it. 20 yrs later and those ladies still dont speak. For 1 day..they did! Women are awesome!

My ex husband drove one of those. God I’d love to do this. 8 year old little girl. Never seen her. Never sent a penny. Never asked. Never wanted to when I asked. Not a picture nothing. Just vanished when I was 6 months pregnant and ran home to his mamas house. Thank God she has the best Daddy in the world. Fell in love with both of us when she was 18 months old. Now she has a little brother, three dogs, a mama cat, 3 acres and a beautiful life. He has no idea what he’s missing out on. I got the literal one cell of good out of that man. Thank you God.

As a small town girl who was burned by a boyfriend who left me for Tina, because he got her pregnant, I know he left her too. So I have always imagined myself eventually befriending her. I used to work at the only grocery store in town. I used to host keggers at the river bed. Her family owned the only pizza place in town. We all owned and loved our bad ass cars and trucks. That guy told me one day when we were at the river, " You think you look good"? Umm , yes... I did think I looked great in my new purple bikini... But those few words, in addition to him leaving me for Tina, have fucked me up for the rest of my life. I am now almost 60. I know there are plenty of people who know how that feels. I am still single, I don't want any more pain. This is my Anthem.

It wasn't just about revenge for her.
