It's funny because IRL streams and waterways flow downhill... but you somehow cant advance edit water to tilt vertically... which seems like it would be pretty simple considering they can do it with other features/ items
These are amazing. I would really love to see one on retaining walls. I struggle so bad with making them look proper. If you could include that in a future video that would be amazing! Thank you again for all the great content.
I just played this course after I watched this tutorial, managed to get round 13 under. :) pretty cool course. Thanks for all you're tips on course design
@@Crazycanuck1985 WOW. I am stunned by that. Ok, that definitely qualifies for having way too much time on their hands. They looked awesome. I enjoy your tutorials. I have built 2 courses prior to watching your videos and I know both had little things that I was disappointed in.
Do you do anything to cover the top part of the waterfall so it doesn't show a crazy flow so sudden and in a straight line just before the waterfall? Love the video.
@@Crazycanuck1985 ok that's what I am basically doing. Wasn't sure if there was a way to make unnoticeable without objects. Love your courses by the way. Have used several in my society.
@@Crazycanuck1985 on my first course I covered that with stones barely sticking out of the water and adding high splash to create a mist effect that worked well. Was overall happy with my first one. But definitely looking to improve on my 2nd and keep getting better after each one.
I always work on these principles... there are easy things to do that look ok... but lots of folks will do those...there are easy things to do that look great, but arnt obvious - try to increase the use of those. There are apparently easy things to do, but require thought and a certain appreciation of what’s going on ... not really teachable but improve with practice... there are also some hard and/or tedious things but because of that fewer folk will do them well or at all... so if you can grasp them you’ll be ahead of the pack... finally there is that unknown designers eye and touch that make some stand out from the rest irrespective of what buttons you click and objects you place...

They should make adding water way easier.

This was an awesome tutorial! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Very clever and great videos. I'm a big fan of your course
I like the technique for making the smaller streams; however, it's a very tedious endeavor.
I played a custom course that was using items from Star Wars. How do you import items like that to use on a custom course?
Those actually aren't custom items! The designer used the in-game items and mashed them together to make those Star Wars assets. Really cool!

Love the video.
Thanks! I just try to cover it up with vegetation as much as possible or try to obscure the view.

Could not hear you very well on this video thought it might be me [59] but then the add popped up (it was loud )
My advice if your on PlayStation don’t mess with waterfalls really because they cause major blue screens

Excellent point. Completely agree
I didn’t mention the bits that take forever and look hopeless!... those are the ones to avoid....
