I "lost" my 22 year old son 3 years ago. I thought my heart, my life, my world was broken beyond repair. Why go on living!? But somehow, (and I really dont know how) out of the ashes of my grief, new life has been breathed into me. Over these heart wrenching few years he has patched up my heart, little by little...and reminded me, by songs like this one, that he is STILL with me, (IF I ONLY KNEW) He is "screaming out for me, shining down on me, and by my side". I need not be afraid. He is not alone, nor am I! He has" Peace he could never find", and "Joy deep down inside". How can I be mad at that!? My Baby, IF I ONLY KNEW, is experiencing things I can't even imagine. Simultaneously, I experience the most guttural pain and the most sacred joy...and yes they can co-exist. In fact, that is what makes them so valuable, so precious to my broken heart. Because, like Rumi said, it is" in the broken places that the light shines through" I feel him in the sunshine. And just like the song says, he tells me where to find him..."where ever Peace is, that's where I'll be, where ever Joy is, that's where I'll be, where ever Love is, that's where I'll be" All I need do is only look....🌅
From the bottom of my heart, thank you Gabriels for writing this song. It has broken me open to a closer communication with my Baby, whose never left my side.💔❤️🩹💖
