I've been using it and that's exactly what it is. I figured it would take prompts and turn them into starter graphics, but no, it just gives recommendations to templates every time.
As a graphic designer this is a minor timesaver, but the missing link for brands is consistent style application, which can’t be fully skipped using AI (yet). I left a job recently because they didn’t appreciate real design skills and it’s taken them only a few weeks to butcher the templates that were supposed to replace me.
For those, who think it works as a prompts in Midjorney, Stable Diffusion or etc. It's NOT! It is just providing you with template suggestions and basic reccomendations on how to represent your brand using that templates. That's it, no "magic". It could be another step in the future, but to achive it they really need to add something like Midjorney inside GPT.

Can be helpful if you create content for a variety of industries, but if you work solely on, say, real estate marketing content, you're usually better off just customizing the templates in Canva as Chat gpt can't customize the content of these templates, it can only find the templates and suggest them to you. Misleading title, chat gpt can't design or customize anything in canva.
So if I need ChatGPT to generate me 60 Pinterest pins using my brand color palette and 2 different fonts per design it cannot do it? Lets say I want 30 pins in boho style 30 pins for nail tech business.

It would be cool to have an AI that can generate hundreds of new templates within a specific style (boho, real estate, pink, girly, etc) using your own colors and fonts.
Well, Canva can do this without chat gpt. try searching for photography business logos. You will see the same templates. Chat GPT basically searches for a template...
The plugin is only searching for templates, not creating original content from scratch. I put in the same request for a Black Friday Post that you did and it returned exactly the same templates. Hardly a "game changer".

As of my last update, there isn't a Canva plugin integrated into ChatGPT 4.0. ChatGPT 4.0 includes various tools such as a browser, Python environment, and DALL-E for image generation, but Canva isn't among them. Canva search gives you a 100 options. This is canva search combined with Ai. So you get narrow results and can have ChatGPT help you write the copy for your ads or posts while you are in the app. It’s not worth the upgrade to gpt plus on its own, but just another time savor for getting 3 good options instead of 50 to browse through.
I love Canva, I have designed all of my logos and featured images with it on my websites. Now using with CHATGpt with prompts means that it will make it easier for me to create images that are more original. Thanks
Very misleading. All this does is provide you with available templates on canva. What this title suggested was chat gpt can create designs in canva. You will still have to create all the content.

Just got the solution : it's not called Plugins anymore. it's now called "My GPT's". ON the left side bar, you have an icone "Explore GPT's", it opens a page where you can search for Canva and once you are in the canva chat, you can pin it to your side bar. Hope this helps

Yes with ChatGPT Vision you can now upload images and include photos in your prompts. That is possible. The bottom left corner now has an add image option for premium chatGPt users. I love it.

I tried but got the reply "As of my knowledge cutoff in June 2023, ChatGPT itself does not support plugins or direct integrations with external services like Canva. However, you can use a few workarounds to integrate Canva and ChatGPT in your workflow" :(

I don't think ChatGPT Can "Now Design Anything" the reason that I've moved into pro version GPT-4 I tried several times change the prompt to create a design in Canva but it led to the same result again and over again.

I've been trying this but GPT only gives me a template and tells me how to edit it. And when i told it that you said it can do it for me, GPT attempted but failed and replied:"I apologize for the inconvenience. It seems there was an error in my attempt to create the design directly for you." its basically the same since yesterday when i first tried it after watching this video.
It can't create content or customize templates, it just searches canva for templates based on your prompt. You still have to customize the template in canva.

After the latest update, we can use text to image prompts in canva pro for social media platforms. No need for Chat GPT 4. Hope it helps. Good luck.

That's rubbish. It's literally giving you the canva templates. That's all the canva plug in can do at the moment.
