Nice job Sandman. I have 4 Hondas with J35 V6 engines. The engine you disassembled... What vehicle, how old, how many miles? Appeared to be in decent condition but it did not see enough oil changes. Keep up the good work!
Its from a ridgeline with 180k miles, believe it or not, my co worker re used the block after i was done with my video and he installed it to another rixgeline and it is up and running. They j series are good engines
@@sandmansgarage8359 Yes very robust engines. Just be certain to replace the timing belt... I waited til 120K miles to replace it in my 2013 Accord... no harm done. But some people ignore it totally... that is asking for trouble. Looking forward to your next vid.
That engine was repaired before right? Because the pistón heads had the numbers on the top side. Maybe the fixed before make something wrong other mechanic.

What was the cause of failure for this engine tear down?
Im not sure because my coworker removed it. But after i disassemled it, i think 1 problem is a worn head gasket

I didnt make a reassembly video because its going to be long, also this engine is now in my friends truck and running
