    Thank you! One mention: There is a Virtual MAC address associated with the VIP so when the Active shuts down, the MAC address table on the switch changes only after a device in the LAN sends ARP request for the VIP that is now found through the port connected to the Passive one. The switch doesn't know IP.

    HA1 and HA3 link up, what if HA2 link down?
    HA1 and HA2 link up, what if HA3 link down?
    HA2 and HA3 link up, what if HA1 link down?
    what is H4 link?

    One question, lets say PA is in Active-Standby pair, configured with VIP, once failover happens how the underlying L3 device would know which device IP among the pair, the packet need to route to ?

      GARP packet sends when failover occurred

    Sir, what will happen if Downstream or Upstream switch went down. Here Firewall is sending GARP to Upstream and Downstream switch. what action will be taken by switch.

      Link monitoring will fail and failover triggered. So generally we will need two switch for redundancy
