Also I accidentally used the wrong pronouns for Raine a lot in this video. This isn't meant to be disrespectful, and I'm actually really upset at myself for making that mistake. I'm not used to referring to single person as "They" since I've always used "They" to refer to multiple people at once. I'm working on changing that habit, so thanks for everyone calling me out on it! I really want to make sure I respect people and these characters.

Yo. Hi. I actually really enjoyed this review and I think you have a good handle for a solid future. But one thing. At the end when you were talking a lot about Raine you used the wrong pronoun. Raine uses they/them as they're nonbinary as confirmed by Dana. But other than that great video!
Oh! I believe I used they/them a lot in the video I think I just made some mistakes. When I get caught up in my thoughts I tend to make that mistake and it's not right. Appreciate you calling me out on that, the last thing I want to do is be disrespectful. Otherwise glad you enjoyed the video!
@@ZeezVovGee2 No you're right. I wrote that at the start of the section but further in you did switch to they/them. And I understand getting caught in thoughts. I just did that talking to my friends about the episode last night so I'm not going to hate for mistakes. Just might wanna keep aware for the sake of reviews, or if you realize in post just stick a *them on screen in case you get big to make your audience aware you realized. Sorry if that's too much just giving some advice I think might help as you grow.

And yes I do make the mistake sometimes as for the majority of my life I've used "They/Them" to refer to multiple people at once so my brain sometimes slips back into old habits and I don't realize it. Getting called out on it should help me break those old habits so I appreciate when people do that.
I like how both Eda's dressed as a jock but is super smart, while Lilith is dressed as a nerd but does better than Eda when it comes to Grudgeby
First of all, Raine's right; Bard Magic IS cool...it's just the sad fact that society doesn't care about artists as much as they should. Just look at what happened after John DiMaggio was first denied a chance to return for the Futurama continuation.
More to the point; if D&D stats are anything to go by, Bards are one of the strongest classes in fantasy. Anyone who can charm a beast with music, bring a story to life with their words (literally speaking) or in Raine's case, alter the chemicals of liquids with soundwaves are not the people to mess with.
Plus...need we remember how powerful a certain Gnome Bard can be?
Second, the moment it was revealed that Raine was playing the Emperor for a fool this whole time; I immediately thought of that one movie quote from Patton.
"You magnificent bastard, I read your BOOK!"
Finally, now that we know Darius is in league with Raine; I wonder how many other Coven Heads are standing with them against Belos? Terra certainly isn't one of them, considering how willing she was to kill children here

I love how when Terra thinks she is outsmarting Raine but when they did the whole bard magic I think most the fandom was like ha Terra’s an idiot she thinks she’s winning but she has no idea we were maybe giving her a similar look that she was doing. B4 this episode I did have some suspicions/wishful thinking that Raine wasn’t midnight controlled and that Eda had broken the mind control I just didn’t think they were never mind controlled. I thought maybe they were only pretending to drink the tea and then they would throw it out somewhere. Of course I’m like I wish that I figured out Raine did the trick b4 and thought back to Follies At The Coven day Parade when they whistled when they were blowing on the tea bc I did hear the whistle and notice that in that episode when it aired but I forgot abt it by the time this episode was out. When they did what looked like them blowing on the tea to cook it down I didn’t think much abt how they made the whistle sound during that episode I just thought that was just something they did. I’m also kinda like only if I thought maybe they are using that trick on the tea when we saw they could do that in the backstory but I wasn’t really thinking about that
I noticed the same thing! When they whistled into the tea I was luck "Huh, well they're a bard the makes sense" but never gave it much thought. When I rewatched the episode later, I was shocked that the answer was right in front of us, and we never noticed. This show can be real crafty sometimes.
If nobody’s corrected you about it, Liliths gray streak of hair is not a lighting thing. In a previous episode, Lilith briefly mentioned how the curse affected Edas hair(though it’s not focused on at all lol) so when Lilith begun sharing the curse with Eda, her hair begun graying as well. But I don’t blame you for not noticing that lol.

@@CoolModderJaydonX yeah, that’s fair, but I don’t think Eda or Lilith is a day over fourtyfive (atleast not until the time jump at the end). And although hair will usually be gray by then, typically that’s not the case in cartoons.
Oh, and also! I rewatched the last episode of the first season, and there is a small second where after Lilith shares the curse with eda, she draws her hand over her new gray streak, so it’s implied the curse caused it.
by "sigils" they mean the coven tatoos, the ones that lock you into a specific coven

We have cool aunt Lilith and we have cool uncle Darius… the aunt and uncle which everyone wants but instead gets the aunt obsessed with essential oils, Terra Snapdragon and overly religious and narrow minded uncle who embodies the “it’s my way of the high way” sentiment, Belos

I love when Terra says she would have been a good mother. Makes me think she would give ms.blight a run for her money
Whoa whoa whoa. Eda is quite Chaotic Neutral. "Might save your life, might burn down your house" (and/or rob you blind, in either case). Now Terra, she's Chaotic Evil; she takes sadistic glee in tormenting people and is disappointed when she finds out she's not allowed to kill them.
Professor Bump was totally that kid who asked about the homework. You cannot tell me this guy pulls up the rule book to tell Terra Snapdragon off and is NOT a teacher's pet.
Eda and Lilith are both jocks because they were on the same Grugeby team in fact Eda was star player and Lilith was Captain of the team.

Eda also has an even lighter streak on her hair on the opposite side and they both have grey irises on the same side as their streaks
She didn’t have it before in the earlier part of the show when she was still in the emperor’s coven and only has it now bc she shared part of the curse with Eda to make it less severe for Eda since she was stuck in her owl beast form
Oh, so in the past raine broke up with Eda because she refused to share her problems with them and now raine pretend to be brainwashed even to her so Eda wouldn’t get involved with their problems? A bit hypocrite there raine
The gray streak in Lilith's hair is a kind of side effect from sharing the curse with Eda as far as I know
2:40 she got the streak from the curse, she died her hair and eda’s is gray because of the curse too
The gray streak in Lily's hair is from splitting the curse with eda at the end of season 1. It's also why one of her eyes is gray now as well. Like edas, and eda got a white streak in her hair.

If you don’t mind a recommendation, I definitely recommend watching Craig of the Creek! It is honestly so good and it lays its groundwork from before the first mid season finale.

I loved that show i loves the fact it took place with kids in a make shift society out in the woods and it would definitely be something id so do with friends in real life cause it was an amazing view on child creativity and child war

i believe when lilith shared the curse with eda it also gave her some of the effects like the hair
1. Lilith's hair has a gray streak because of the shared curse
2. Darius, Eberwolf (the cat-like one that you mentioned) and Raine are against Belos
3. Sigils are the symbols on their wrist that seals all the other magic but the one you choose to keep
4. The draining spell is to rid of all witches and magic all together
5. The Day of Unity is part of the Collector's plan
well, about liliths hair streak, the hair streak appears after she does the “with this spell declared, let the pain be shared.” thing. throughout all of season 2, it doesn’t change. i think it’s because now that she has the curse, she also is starting to age faster like eda is. welp, now you know :)
I didn’t realize how new u r to the RUclips scene till the end of the video. U have a great sense of structure in videos and presentation. You also have a nice presenter voice. I’ve seen way too many newcomers with nervous monotone voices. I can hear the nervousness but with confidence and hope in your voice. Also your editing is really nice and sharp! The thumbnail is also good and grabs peoples attention without being clickbait. I love how excited you are to be making videos about shows you care about. I think your going to do great on RUclips! @@ZeezVovGee2 Same with me about Darcy. I love it when villains in movies, shows or games that the villian has a comedic side, but the #1 thing shown about the villian is that He/she or it is threatening or intimidating and Darcy is a great example of that.
Also small correction: Raine’s pronouns are They/Them.
I think if we see more of Darrius he'll quickly become my favorite character.

Darius, when him and Eberwolf was out hunting the rebels, specifically told Kikkimora that he didn't want help during the mission, at first made to be out that he simply doesn't want other people's help. But I think he wanted to do it alone, so that the rebels weren't treated brutally, maybe he even knew Raine was in with them all along and wanted to keep them safe. In Hollow Mind we did see that Eberwolf was also part of the group trying to get into Bellos' mind, so it makes sense that him and Darius were working with Raine before hand to an extent, at least knew or had an inkling of what was going on, and was trying to play it off that he was actually doing his job, maybe to talk to Raine about it after they get "captured". Then when Kikkimora showed up and actually captured Raine, screwed up his plans.
The sigils are the little tattoo like things on people's wrists that binds them to a coven
Also Tibbles was there right next to Gus’s ancestor. IT DEFINITELY WAS TIBBLES.

I have a potential theory for "The Owl House," could Luz (and humans in general) possibly be something of an amplifier for magic cast by witches? The reason I bring this up is because some of the most impressive feats (outside of Eda's) were performed with Luz either being directly involved or in close proximity to the spell being cast. Do you find this theory plausible or am I just finding something where there is nothing?
Perhaps it has something to do with the glyphs. Luz is constantly studying new ways to make glyph combos, and even Phillip/Belos has vast knowledge of glyphs. Since they can't use magic, they get it from "another source". I think it's an interesting point to discuss for sure.
@@ZeezVovGee2 Now thinking, this reminds me a bit on the series topic of neurodiversity. In the sense this sort of works as a metaphor for someone who doesn't have an ability most people master "naturally" but instead compensates it by studying, and thus can get a more complete view and see different perspectives other people wouldn't usually think.

Now I’m not gonna lie I do not like season 1 of this show. It is one of the most mediocre things I have ever watched and the only reason it got popular in the first place is the grom episode. That being said season 2 is a massive improvement! And I mean massive. It’s honestly kind of shocking how much better it is. The story gets interesting and I actually care about the characters now. There are very few episodes from season 1 I can ever see myself re-watching but I cannot say the same for season 2
Actually season 1 is mostly Disney washed (they wanted to make it, you know... a disney show, yikes) and Dana Terrence got more freedom for season 2 which explains why season 2 is better, it's because it looks more like what the creator wanted u.u

the grey streak in Lilith's hair is only there after the episode where eda was going to be petrified in stone and the episodes after. It represents that Lilith took on the curse as well, hence why they each have one colored eye and one grey one
Its either Darius or Amity who made that abomination. On one hand, the abomination kind of looks like dairus, on the other, Amity specializes in abominations.
If the abomination had black eyes with green pupils it's Darius's abomination. All his abominations have that trait.

Maybe he always has. Ever since Belos killed his mentor. The reason him and Eber Wolf were the ones to hunt the rebels was to keep up appearances, but when they found out their leader was a Coven Head as well they came clean to them and started working together.
I can imagine it as Kikimora saying there were rebels stirring up trouble and Darius and Eber volunteering to hunt them as opposed to putting Hunter on it, or other coven heads.
If you loo back at the parade episode Raiine whistles in their drink their so which means they fought Eda willingly and not in a mind control state

You referred to Raine as a he multiple times in a row when in the show they were actively referred to by they/them. I'm sure it was an honest mistake but it still bothers me as someone who also goes by they/them.
It was an honest mistake that I'm quite upset at myself over. I'm super glad people are calling me out because I do not want to be disrespectful. Not gonna make excuses, I just habitually messed up, and I'm happy that people like you are helping me change my bad habits.
@@ZeezVovGee2 Well I'm proud of your efforts. You'll get there. What I found helpful when I first came out was just referring to everyone around me as they/them. It keeps it neutral, avoids assumptions, and makes it apart of your everyday language.

Eda has grey hair because of the curse, at the s1. Finale, the curse was split between the two, so eda and Lilith Both have a grey streak and one grey eye
