Colin Vearncombe (26 May 1962 - 26 January 2016), known by his stage name Black, was an English singer-songwriter. He emerged from the punk rock music scene and achieved mainstream pop success in the late 1980s, most notably with the international hit single "Wonderful Life" in 1987
William Ruhlmann of AllMusic described Vearncombe as a "smoky-voiced singer/songwriter, whose sophisticated jazz-pop songs and dramatic vocal delivery place him somewhere between Bryan Ferry and Morrissey".[4] Michael Hann of The Guardian described his voice as a "slightly frayed baritone"
"Wonderful Life" is a song by the English singer Black from his 1986 album of the same name. It was released twice as a single and was successful the second time, becoming a top ten hit in Switzerland, Germany, the UK, France, Austria, the Netherlands and Italy. Black, who wrote the song while broke, commented: "I was really being ironic... Most people took it at face value."

E X C E L E N T E !!! No encuentro otra PALABRA DE ADMIRACIÓN MÁS QUE ESA. Para quienes vivimos nuestra adolescencia en aquellos hermosos y dorados años 80 y sufrimos indeciblemente el horror de la decadencia y estafa musical de hoy en día, sabemos valorar muy pero muy bien esta interpretación de wonderful life, un tema que siempre me sentí además muy vinculado en el comienzo de mi adolescencia. Tu interpretación hizo que resurgiera esa pasión y amor en mi por el saxofón que había dejado archivada en el baúl donde se guardan todo lo que uno quiso hacer de joven y no pudo. El saxo soprano tiene para mi gusto la mayor dulzura y transmite la mayor sensibilidad en la frecuencia mas alta de los sentimientos a diferencia de la sensibilidad mas de melancolía densa del tenor. El soprano imprime esa mezcla de la dulce tristeza del bello pasado que no rememora el recuerdo. Ese punto en la fibra del alma donde vibra mejor y más alto. Esto que has logrado -y logras- transmitir con tu magistral interpretación que escucho repetidamente una y otra vez y no me canso (mi mujer me va a echar de casa en cualquier momento si sigo escuchándo sin parar, je!) me transporta a aquella amada época que tanto añoro y me trae mucha calma. No se necesita "saber" de música para amarla. Has generado que quiera empezar a estudiar este instrumento por lo que aprovecho a preguntarte si conoces la marcas memphis y wiseman, creo que son chinos, pero es lo único que consigo en mi país, son nuevos pero se que no son buenos, pero sería muy útil tu opinión para saber si sirven al menos para comenzar. Gracias amigo, ya te llamo así porque has logrado con tus sentimientos expresados en este arte lo que hoy en día ya casi no puede uno conseguir y que debería ser lo que todo verdadero arte debería transmitir: La Belleza de la Paz interior... Te has ganado el premio del comentario más largo en mi canal desde su creación ! 😉 me encanto la manera con la cual describes la música de los 80 comparada con la música actual y las diferencias que expresa el soprano comparado con el tenor. Esta muy bien puesto y me reconozco bastante en este análisis, súper bien expresado. La verdad, no se que pensar sobre lo de los 80 versus lo actual. Yo también era adolescente en los 80s, por eso tengo un cariño especial por la música de esta época, pero no logro saber si es porque la calidad era mejor o si era por ser mi época de adolescencia...en cuanto a las macas de sax que me comentas, no las conozco, así que no te podría ayudar mucho en esto. Solo toco de la marca Selmer dese joven. Probé un Yamaha alto durante una semana y me gusto bastante. Pero no soy bueno en esto de comparar marcas porque me quede con una sola. Yo pensaría que hay diferencias obvias de calidad pero siempre puedes empezar con una marca de menor nivel y, si te gusta y logras despegar un poco, te puedes comprar una marca más reconocida. Así lo haría yo. Espero que te sirva. Y te sugiero empezar con el alto, el más fácil para empezar. Espero que te sirva. De que país eres : Venezuela ? Un abrazo

Mi señora se desternillo de la risa y se tomo la cara como diciendo "qué pesado que eres que hasta te has ganado un premio!" cuando leyó el comentario ya que esta es su cuenta. Soy de Uruguay. Gracias por la orientación de las marcas, tengo entendido que es bastante limitado aquí en mi país conseguir buenos sax pero como nunca he tocado este instrumento -sólo estudié guitarra clásica con la Escuela de Carlevaro hace muchos años atrás, pero no es mi instrumento- empezaré por algo económico porque no se si mis manos podrán expresar con coordinación en esta edad de mitad de los 40 en la que estoy lo que mi alma quiere expresar en esta edad de los 40 en los que ella también está. Con respecto a la música, la diferencia para mi radica en que la industria musical, ese Troll monstruoso y también perverso, orienta los hz y la cadencia como en el tema "despacito" y como en otros innumerables temas de hoy, a despertar soterradamente las más infames y bajas pasiones que llevan al ser humano especialmente los niños y adolescentes, al caliente lodo del sufrimiento "hacia el hondo bajo fondo donde el barro se subleva" al decir de Discepolin, antes que elevar el Espíritu como lo hacía -y hace- gran parte de la música pop de los 80. Ni hablar los clásicos y las óperas como la Flauta mágica o por supuesto Parsifal de Wagner. Bueno paro por acá porque sino va a empezar a pesarme la estantería con mis premios! Jeje! Fuerte abrazo!
Yo tengo la misma edad, creo que no hay límite de edad para empezar en Musica, mientras tienes la pasión y algo de oído musical. Lo demás es trabajo y dedicación, enfoque y juego. Hay mucho contenido increíble en RUclips para aprender divertiendote con fondos musicales. Es una manera muy poderosa y Eficaz para aprender. Mucha suerte si emprendes ese camino !! 🌟🌟
Por cierto, acabo de regresar à Europa et verano pasado, después de 13 años entre Venezuela y México, tengo America latina en el corazón !

Las vueltas de la vida, especialmente en estos tiempos de tantos viajes: Hace poco más de 13 años atrás yo a su vez regresaba de Europa para no volver a irme, estaba en Barcelona capital donde vivía y trabajaba.
