Gunslinger Girl was such a great single season of anime, a 2nd season never happened.... just like how the early 2000s Tsukihime anime never happened..
So many pros about this anime. One not too elaborated in reviews is the setting. Not Tokyo, but Italy. I love that and the soundtrack captures it beautifully!

Nobody gets special favors… It's cruel to everyone.

The way Christiano died was pretty sad. Even though he was bad the way he and Pinocchio were talking made me burst into tears. Not to mention Rico getting hit by a car. ;( fantastic anime

I also minored in it in College so NO spoilers unless you can read Japanese as the subs and dubs and rewrites are all wrong and always have been. +Hans “Bill” Bachmann The translations can be as wrong as they possibly can be, but it doesn't change what you're seeing on the screen / pages. There are a lot of things that you can't just attribute to a bad translation.

Later in 2022 I had a school assignment and thought I'd put GSG in the background while I worked just to have something there but I ended up getting hooked not long after. Great anime. Makes me feel bad for the children though...

I only just finished season 1 and i love this anime the art style swap of season 2 is weird but im getting used to it prefer the s1 one but still cant belive how old it is great anime.
This makes me think of the time i had a car crash and my parents were hurt and didn't respond i was afraid they were going to die and the water was entering since my left door was weak i hit it and went running to the closet gasoline station and yelled loudly as i can that my car crashed and needed help i was tired out. thankfully my parents lived. The crash nearly killed my brother as well since it went rolling down the hill the weird think about it i was 8 when the crash happen life is strange
+Micb 123 We can dream. I've been a fan for years. I somehow doubt it though; seeing as it's been so long since it aired. That said, they might bring Gunslinger Girl back if it sees a resurgence in popularity. A lot of the themes present in shows from this era--gritty realism, violent and tragic themes, etc--seem to be making a comeback with most of the more popular new anime that have come out recently; and that goes for almost every genre. Psycho-Pass would be my favourite example. More likely though, they would adapt something newer that focuses on similar themes. I hope they do though.

the way the song starts soft and mellow and leading in to a slow climb of adrenaline, it gets me every time.
Insane piece, really reccomend to those who only saw the anime to continue with the manga, you won't regret it

Actually its an anime they're are 2 seasons and I highly recommend you to watch it, because its a amazing anime :D

The manga is even sadder. It'a a tragic drama. Written like a good novel. Unfortunately this music only makes the manga justice.
