oh wow, did that move years ago, the girl in the air open,I was 18 and young, but in the lat 70's,i am 62 now, but we were in competitions, it was early Australian Disco,where Disco was only just hitting here.We were doing Ballroom for the dance steps and like the Cha Cha and the other.I learnt it so we'll the one day more boys than girls I danced with the boys and knew the routine that even the guys weren't sure.It was a dare and from a mate,so I took it off and the young guys weren't sure but I did what the girls did.Step by Step not missing a beat,Then they held Disco Classes to learn to dance to Disco,I loved it, then we were asked to see who wanted to Challenge Other Classes from around Melbourne,there was a few,So I put my hand up and we practised and we Challenged, and we got to the finals, and we practised and practised and practised and lifting over head that was the niche.We got the strongest at the time me,and the lightest girl, and we practise and practise the jump and the hold and you had to hold for about 10 seconds and you counted it, and then brought her down right as well,If I was going to drop her then I said I will put you down.And yeah, i would gently put her down.It took a few goes but we got the waist and lift and balance key on and it went like a dream,So yeah bit of work and all the dancing went so good ,the judges gave us the trophy, and we were happy.So even now I can dance and proud of it, just need cameras that work and I will put it on You tube.
