so every component in the PCB must have the right material?

    • @goengineer

Yes, the material will affect the outcome of the simulation, so try your best to find a good approximation of the material if you are not yet sure what you will use

Did you just left "Bulk Ambient Temperature" in Convection section as 0 K. I mean does -273 C not influence to the whole picture of the temperature?

      Hi BaMnupb,
Yes, the Bulk Ambient Temperature in the Convection definition was left as 0 Kevlin; this was an oversight. You are also correct in that this will greatly change the results of the study using a -273 Celsius fluid temperature value.

      @@goengineer But sir/ma'am,
Isn't this unrealistic ?? Because, as per third law of thermodynamics, absolute zero temperature cannot be achieved. Here, you used & implemented directly it in boundary condition. It is the most ideal temperature as any cold medium has. In practical cases, any coldest temperature is always above absolute zero (0K or -273°C).
Even cryogenic designs doesn't use this temperature directly in the real time prototypes. Plz, explain this your step in simulation🙏. Otherwise, content is the best ❤️.

I've never seen simulation at assembly level in solidworks to be true. I've tried it many times but just couldn't find it. is it new to 2016 version or I can find it on my 2014 version also ?

      Evil,
It depends on what level of SOLIDWORKS you have. In SOLIDWORKS Core and SOLIDWORKS Professional, you have access to SimXpress, which only allows you to analyze part files. In SOLIDWORKS Premium you get access to the SOLIDWORKS Simulation Add-In, letting us run Assemblies in a Linear Static Analysis.
