Ah, Charlie5, I agree with you that it's fun to talk about recruiting, especially when we're doing it at a high level again. But I have say, it's not the most fun thing to talk about. The most fun I have when talking about Auburn football happens after those big wins on the field. I'm dating myself here, but back in 1972, the Punt Bama Punt game was epic. And the party we had after that game, and for the next freaking year was a total blast. I shoved that down the throat of every bammer I knew, every chance I got. Of course, there have been plenty of others since then, but that one stands out, probably because I was only 17 at the time. Anyway, love the show. War Damn Eagle!
To get back to those days, it starts in the dog days of summer, when the recruiting takes precedent. It's easy to imagine games like that in the future, especially, when you're recruiting talent like we have been. Beating out USC, and Lincoln Riley, for JuJu would change the trajectory of each program significantly. The statement in the CFB landscape would be substantial.
People forget how highly Jason Campbell was sought after. Remember, Tuberville had to promise him, that if he came, Auburn would NOT recruit another QB for at least 2 seasons. That was a monster gamble.
I don’t see the need in signing a qb in this class. Of course we should throw the kitchen sink at juju but if we can’t get him or kj lacy then I don’t see the point in reaching on a qb. We have 2 freshman quarterbacks and a sophomore qb. Recruit juju until the end and if we don’t get him then oh well. We have plenty of young quarterbacks. I don’t feel the urgency on getting juju in the boat this weekend. If we lose out on juju and reach on a kid then that makes me feel like freeze doesn’t feel good about our young quarterbacks.
I suggested this to Brad and Zac, but I think YOU"LL actually read this comment; Show subtopic- Name your favorite 5 Star guy who didn't necessarily work out, but you still loved him being on the team.
That's only because they only have 10 5 stars before the High school football seasons starts. They ultimately end up with 32...Juju is 23 overall. He will be a 5 star - C5
@@carsoncorcoran6487 aye bet thank you bro or sir depending on your age. I will tell him I love him and he belongs at Auburn and he will be engrained in our history forever and there will be a statue built for him
Thanks for the great info. If they come in town, I have faith that Freeze has a solid chance with any recruit.
No doubt! - C5

I want to get back to the glory days of Dye where I knew we could win any game we played against any opponent.

He was very highly rated but still not at the level of Juju Lewis - C5
No. Of course not. But…he turned out pretty well, nonetheless. Especially with the help of AL Borges.
Got a new subscriber, good content man. Keep it up
Glad to have you! WDE - C5
Y'all need to keep an eye on a JU JU teammate in DE Zion Cooley.
Interesting. I'll have to take a look - C5

Noted and a great idea - C5
The important question is: can he run like Forrest on every down?
ON3 has Julian Lewis as 4 star (crazy) but on3 is usually wrong with the other 4 places that rank

When is Big Cat weekend?
July 27th - C5
hope ju ju comes to auburn great qb..but we dont need to let qb recruitment drag on a whole lot longer..if not him get the next best
I don't think it can last a ton longer. Need to have a QB locked in - C5
same for running back. we need 2 this year. don't wait much longer to get 2
Totally agree - C5
Agreed.i think the staff has to have at least a very clear trajectory on somebody coming out of Big Cat
not sure if any freshman qb could be real competitive in the SEC
It's been done but you're right it's tough - C5
Aren't the bams having a bbq or something else trivial going on opposite of BIG CAT this year?
They would be making a huge mistake to do that because everyone's gonna be at BC - C5
@@AuburnDaily_ You mean like they did last year?
Hey Charlie. Has KJ Lacey ever taken an official visit to AU?

What day does he come down? I’m a student here and I may see em on the street
He got to Auburn just about 15-30 mins ago and will be there until 9ish Sunday morning

If he doesn't give AU a verbal this weekend, then Freeze should move on. These 18 year old kids have been given way too much power.
Maybe not a verbal but at least some indication that he's not sticking with USC. I'd take a decommitment - C5
