It's too big for the site and disrespects the historic area of Chinatown. Never mind all the empty storefronts on Walnut Street plus the pre-existing stadiums near the airport.

I still don't understand why anyone would think putting an arena in the middle of the city when traffic is already too chaotic would be a good idea.

Most cities in America have a downtown arena. So, it’s not an impossible idea. I’m not from Philly but I’m trying to understand the backlash.

@@214dude2 tailgating is in our blood, the sixers need to stay where they’re at.

@@214dude2happy new year the area that it’s in is really small and tight. us in philly have been so use to going to wells fargo which is in more of a secluded area which looks like your normal football arena connected to parking garage type of style which doesn’t play an affect on traffic or anyone in that area, moving the arena downtown in the next decade will definitely play a part on traffic, businesses and the rest of the chaos that happens downtown philly. however, we don’t know what could be done by that time so who really gives a shit

This is nothing new since Mayor Street keep pushing to build an Arena near Chinatown which is already too crowded and has too much traffic, I think greed is one of the main factors.

I oppose a new arena anywhere. they don't need one.

Why does big corporation always want to make it hard for our city. It would make Center City more congested than it already is and it would put people in Chinatown in danger with all the extra traffic and taking away parts of a neighborhood that's been here for ages. Leave the ball stadiums in areas of the city that can handle it.

What is wrong with the 76ers current housing situation that warrants this new stadium?

Who actually owns it? Wells Fargo just has its name on it as a sponsor like CBP and the Linc do.

It’s because they don’t control the Wells Fargo Center, the Flyers do. Meaning when there is non sporting events at the arena the Flyers make money, not the 76ers.

How about they actually spend the money on something that actually matters like the poor and the drug and crime crisis in philly

This arena is insane. It's as insane as the old idea of putting the Phillies ballpark at Broad and Spring Garden.

What's wrong with the were there playing now ? How money did that
Cost the tax payers? You have public transportation almost at the door .Now the team and the shitty
Want to come and see in and destroy a neighborhood for what
The team isn't going to play any better . Do us taxpayers a favor forget this idea besides the traffic will along with parking would be horrible not to mention all the business it will hurt and lost property taxes and wage taxes

Stupidest idea ever. They should just stay where they are now, with the other sports teams, stadiums, parking lots, highways, and Broad Street line.
