Well Kibler did mention it was a win with QUEST warlock... so you'd expect the quest has something to do in it other than waste a mana and a card slot.

Johnny Toumieh The deck is called Quest Warlock because it has the quest in it. Choosing not to play it because it's a bad play in a couple of games doesn't change the fact that he is playing Quest Warlock. That's like saying that you're not playing midrange hunter simply because a few of your wins happened in the later turns. Lmao.
The feeling when you know the music piece and thus can exactly predict when the game ends is really pleasant.

i wish discards weren't random. that'd make it pretty sweet imo. then you could actually run more risky things that you wouldn't wanna discard cause of synergy and such

Choosing would be too strong, too much overpowered syngeries.
But they should show you what you discard BEFORE playing the card, this would be nice. (The cards are different each round)

When RNG works in your favor.
Every time I play a deck like this, I ALWAYS discard Bloodreaver. It's like Brode is watching all my Discolock games and is punishing me for trying to have fun
Pretty much, yeah. In the early days of Hearthstone I tried a deck that had some discard battlecries. Had terrible draws, discarded useful stuff, disenchanted. Went back to playing mage and never looked back.

warlock needs more lifesteal mechanics
Too bad Blizzard half-asses their mechanics and scraps them after one expansion.
Somers uh discover? Deathrattle? They keep good mechanics and abandon bad ones, that's why inspire, adapt, jousting etc aren't around anymore, they proved ineffective and unpopular. Lifesteal has proven to be useful and popular, so it's here to stay
Don't forget the pseudo-mechanic of untargetable permanents! Sherazin (seed) and Lakkari Portal. Hopefully we see more of that type of stuff-maybe someday it can have a separate board slot to the side and function more like an "aura" or "enchantment" type thing.

Just curious if there was a reason you run Elise in this (and a few of your other decks)?
Is it just cause its an interesting card? or is it one that really helps/benefits decks?
He uses Elise because he thinks it's a good card in general and a fun card to play with.

Matthew Blackmore I think it's beacause 1) she gives you extra card to discsrd and that is goooood for quest 2) she is a good late game card that gives you some fuel because with quest warlock you usually ran out of resurces because of tapping and discarding and she hepls a lot. 3) for the memes 😂

Matthew Blackmore i have been playing this archetype a fair amount, and i can say that elise is a win condition in the late game. The pack provides that last bit of steam to finish your opponent off along with the portal.
He doesn't do it für Elise, he does it für Moonlight Sonata.
When you're playing Quest Warlock, you deserve RNG like this every goddamn game. Yas Queen Lana'thel for the win! :)

I played against a discard warlock last night and it was fucking ridiculous. Turn one quest into turn two malchezaar's imp/soulfire and discarded a silverware golem. I was running a minion heavy handbuff paladin deck and never got a chance to deal with the imp so he finished the quest by turn 5.

You agreed with me that Chess is more competetive than HS, but you correct me that HS is challenging as Go? Go is more complex than Chess, because you have more options and more situation due to larger boardscale and place possebilities. Explain how is HS challenging as Go, otherwise your correction doesn't make sense.

Even if Discardlock works, Lakkari Sacrifice is still one of the most incompetent blunders Blizzard have ever made. While some quests (e.g Fireplume's Heart) have simple requirements that you'll WANT to fulfill, have NO drawbacks, require NO other card synergies than "draw card, play card" and give you an AWESOME reward, Lakkari Sacrifice requires you do repeatedly engage in something that _actively hurts you,_ half the time works AGAINST your goals, requires excessive card synergies that simply don't exist, and gives you a TERRIBLE reward! It's _insulting_ how badly lopsided the Quest designs in Un'Goro were.

Sorry for being annoying, but does that deck also work without clutch mother, lanathel and Elise?
The deck hardly works at all but I'll do my best to answer for you.
Clutch mother, I find clutch mother and silverware golem extremely important as just a way to mildly "control" the discard rng and have positive outcomes. And even if you discard her once, a 2 mana 4/4 is pretty legit. I'd say she's really important.
Lanathel - Eh? I'd say she could potentially be dropped. When she works she can be really, really powerful and give you the sustain you need. But honestly, you normally don't have her on 5 and when you do she's at most a 4/7, like she was in this video. And if you play her later, she's not that hard for most control decks to answer and against most aggro decks, she doesn't have enough immediate impact.
Elise - Could maybe also be dropped. She's a really powerful late game tool that, when paired with bloodreaver, makes it really, really hard for you to lose the late game to control decks. And also it helps refill your hand after discarding half of your deck. And if you fill your hand early, it can be more fodder for the discard rng that you don't mind discarding as much
guys is this deck worth making . i only need to craft zavas and the quest to have the full list . i really like playing warlock but if played well can the deck get me to legend

Keep em unless you have ALL the legendaries of ungoro. If you dust them, theres a chance youll upon them up again. And we dont want that.
As someone who had both, they can be fun but they are terrible. The warlock quest requires absurd high rolling to win and the hunter quest is inherently unplayably bad. In short, yes, dust that garbage
Unless you really, really, need the dust right now I suggest you to wait. Now you can't get duplicate so it's "improve" your chance to get what you want.
And who knows, maybe those quests could become "good" with the next rotation.
Well, you need 3 legendaries to play this amazing deck so keep them if tou have all 3 it would be a waste to des all 3 !

you needed 3rd movement of the moonlight. the first one is too slow for this game.
Possibly. The 3rd movement would be fitting background music for aggro decks because of the sheer aggression of it.

louie mimis as she should be. Shed be worthless in any deck not a discard. And she's a one per deck legendary she should be good. She still wouldn't win game by herself like some other cards do
As a new ftp player im really sick of these legendaries that cant hold their own. Opening up lanathel was so jarring. You need the entire archtype plus two other legendaries to make this deck work
LS I mean, Legendaries are supposed to be synergy based. By your logic we should have more Dr. Booms and other blatantly overstatted minions that domimate the format. I don't want more Ragnaros's or Sylvanus's in the game.
