I Hear You Paul: I wrote a Book once & published in Amazon. I had 'Great Expectations'... I Emailed links to ALL my Family & Friends + Ex Work Colleages. NO ONE BOUGHT MY BOOK!! No One. Lesson Learned: people are only interested in themselves - that's IT !!

I enjoy your channel and this particular monologue.. I’m on the exact same page as you on this. In my previous life as a pro entertainer, expectation was a tough one to conquer. However , I managed to understand, like you, the trap of expectation. The other side of that coin is skepticism and cynicism… and it’s a tight walk between these factions imho… hey, we could write a book😂 anyway, Thanks for your videos!
I think sometimes managing expectations is the key to avoiding dissapointment, especially when it comes to tradespeople, having been an Electrician all of my life and having met some unbelievably skilled carpenters, plumbers you name it, the one thing people forget is that being a skilled carpenter for example does not automatically make you a good business person or a skilled project Manager or even a good negotiator, people often forget that many small businesses or one man bands are often good at their particular skill but not so good when it comes to the rest of running a business which is why things often start to go wrong, not through tradespeople wanting to let people down but through them not being quite so good at all the other aspects of running a business, I would also hasten to add that there are plenty of rouge customers out there too, who purposely make life difficult with a view to not paying their bill! I tend to live my life with the expectation that I'm going to get kicked in the butt every day and when it doesn't happen it means I have a great day! Love your videos such great topics.
@malcolmheskins3522 Thanks again, Malcolm. I enjoy your input. I was hard on the Trades, I know. There are good ones too. I had an electrician in WI that was aces! His wife ran the business side, he did the labor. Both were excellent...and pricey...and worth it! Cheers ✌️✌️
Attention is the most valuable commodity
I didn't expected much but You exceeded my expectation a lot
Well, thank you for that. ✌️

Hey, Erik.
It's one of life's many mysteries. Is your book still available?
You should learn how to market yourself and your book.
@ I removed it from Amazon
