Loved going to the newsagents and getting Mixmag from 1998 - 2002. This CD was a highlight, just as trance moved across to hard house at many clubs. Don't think I've heard this since 2000!
Always my got to HH cut. Fergie used to play at a night called Passion before he went more techno circa 2002. Back in the days when the night would progress from house, to trance, to the hard stuff. It all got pigeon holed eventually and a night called Storm at the same club was created. Caught Fergie having a piss behind one of the huge club ads in San. According to him, ‘when you gotta go, you gotta go’. Top man l
Tuning in in 2020 while on lockdown, Covid19 got me digging my old hard house tunes. Malice in Wonderland and the Dawn probably 2 of the finest hardhouse tunes ever but the whole CD rips! This CD got cained 20 years ago and Fergie became resident at my fave club Emporium shortly after for Storm. Looking back I didn't realise how lucky we were!
Passion/ Storm/ insomniacs/ I got overtaken by a Cadbury’s creme egg on the A38 one Sunday morning on my my back from a heavy night at passion then insomniacs. Blew my mind🤯🥳🎶 I had this mix on loop back in the day🔥🔥🔥
fergie done hardhouse better than the rest always had that funky edge wasnt hard style as such super bangin aye but not hard style 'hardhouse get it rite yasssss
This may very well of been the CD 💿 that converted me to hard house. I’d seen Tony De vit in Australia a couple of years before. Then became a disciple of Anne Savage, BK, Illogic, Tidy Brothers and Guyver
Use to get fucking well excited when the new edition of mixmag came out on the Thursday. ...use to walk 2 miles to pic it up ...then straight home read it back to front all night .
fuckin phenominal soundtrack to my teens 'malice in wonderland' what a fukin tune think it was the pants and corsets remix epic KEEP ER LIT pmsl miss those days
Reminds me of rise between 1200am and 600am tearing dance floor up to simon barwood and dr bill had this cranked at work amazing how many people love it cause I love my hardcore
Awesome , been trying to find this for ages nice one for sharing . Anyone know what the last track is called and by who please , it brings tears to my eyes . Takes me back to some real good times and good friends .
I met fergie once in the crystal rooms hereford-he walked past me in the chill room and i winked at him and said good set, carried walking cos i didn't want to bother him-and he grabbed my arm and shook my hand!
it already was with Prodigy. the gov killed the real dance scene. with the anti-social disorder bill. stopped people making their own raves. it became over-licensed. some music is even banned in clubs. like "garage".
I remember mixmag slated the rave scene when it wasnt cool, didnt cover it anymore then boom when it came back they were all over it again. Such a plastic magazine as far as im concerned
This is without doubt still one of fav albums! Still got my CD and remember the front of the mag with fergie in a bath with red bull cans 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Yes that's it!! I thought that was a cd also.. The mag had him in the bath with red bull cans!!
Bought the mag, bumped the CD many times and I’m sure my neighbors loved it!
Can't believe this was free monster cd
To tired to comment, or drunk? 😆 #mixmag turn yourselves outside in..!

hard house was already in full swing before this. this was around when tony de vit died i think. it exploded at that time though.
I've still got this CD. Used to hammer it out when I first got it. Still do once in a while.
I used to mow lawns to this to earn $$ for the weekend :D :D

Hard house was basically early 90s hardcore with a 4x4 beat behind it... and that’s what made it so good!
Yeah it was the substitute for when happy hardcore became too cheesy
Ahh the era of mitsi’s … what a hoot 🎉🎉🎉
35 people movin' HARD to this beat in my backyard right now. P.L.U.R.

Yo! Not heard this in years! Can't download it from Soundcloud?
Mixmag is so wank now compared to how it was-even left wing politics has invaded bloody dance magazines these days!
