Iowa weather forecast: Winter weather radar, temps, wind chill

Thursday's temperatures exceeded expectations for parts of Iowa, including Des Moines, which hit 50°. The wind definitely tampered excitement, however, with gusts exceeding 50 mph in the western half of the state. Friday, the wind weakens, but temperatures take a nosedive.
FRIDAY: Cold with a decreasing wind. Highs only make it to the mid-to-upper 20s, but afternoon wind chill values remain stuck in the teens. During the afternoon, sun may briefly break free, but clouds are not far off in returning. At least the wind will be calmer this evening.
