In case of failure of boost pumps the system is designed to feed engines with fuel by Suction... During Periodic maintenance there is a operational test of engine fuel suction feed in which we operate engines and switch off the fuel pumps.. there should be no change in Engine parameters.. It's a safety feature...
Selvan Selvaraj ok, but why does crossfeed work then when turning off low side pumps? Ie left main tank is low fuel (no fuel leak) and when turning off both boost pumps left side and crossfeed valve open - Left side stops using fuel?
Selvan Selvaraj ah i see. I thought it was maybe DC power hum noise. Also are the recirculation fan noise louder than the air cond packs? Have you got a video with the Recirculation fans operating
Thank you sir for this interesting video. As a simulator pilot that is very informative.
please make more 737 videos...thank you for the knowledge
Nice tour. I would just take issue with the position of the bleed isolation valve for normal departures ;)

Well done Anna... Keep going 👍🏼
Thanks da
Very useful thank you sir..
Thank you
keep going great Thank you
Thank You...
thank you sir
awesome 👍😊
Thanks 🤗
Actually fuel temp. indication is coming from Tank #1 sir)
Yes... Have I wrongly mentioned...
Thanks
Thanks....

Hi, i have a question about fuel pumps. Why is it when you turn off the fuel pumps main tanks they still feed the engines with fuel?
In case of failure of boost pumps the system is designed to feed engines with fuel by Suction... During Periodic maintenance there is a operational test of engine fuel suction feed in which we operate engines and switch off the fuel pumps.. there should be no change in Engine parameters.. The functioning of Suction Feed requires that Cross Feed Valve should be Closed... Suction feed is only from the respective main tanks...
There is a bypass valve in fuel feed line in each main tank. It opens if Cross Feed Valve is Closed and both boost pumps of that engine are Off..
Selvan Selvaraj ok, but how come suction feed stops when you switch off main pumps to do crossfeed balance (QRH) in flight.
What is that hum noise? Is that the batt?
It's the sound from the instruments around...
Selvan Selvaraj ah i see. I thought it was maybe DC power hum noise. Also are the recirculation fan noise louder than the air cond packs? Have you got a video with the Recirculation fans operating
Sure.. will make one regarding the recirculation fans next... Thanks for your support and suggestion...
Selvan Selvaraj that would be excellent. I would love to hear the operation of the recirculation fans going off and on
In next video you will hear it🤝☺️
