This is really helpful! I have my undergrad in a field other than SLP and I have been exploring the possibility of pursing SLP Pre-Req Courses. I have an excel spreadsheet with 8-10 Grad Schools and the pre-requisites they require. You're right, they are all over the place and it's a bit stressful since I also work a full time job that won't give me flexibility and I have to be in an office from 8am-4pm every single day. Thank you for these videos!
Thanks for this video! Very helpful. Will be starting leveling with ENMU in the fall. And playing that puzzle game has been soooo time consuming but ended up with ENMU as well!
What’s funny is on Thursday a coworker mentioned slp to me at work. I started researching masters programs which I would need leveling classes for. Somehow I stumbled across enmu and applied that same night to their communication disorders second bachelors program. I submitted my transcript Friday praying that I can start summer 2025.
This is such a fantastic video. I come across future clinicians often who ask about leveling and I went straight through, so being able to send them to this very insightful video is such a helpful find. I can’t wait to share the link. Thank you for sharing about our speech language pathology field and I’m looking forward to more content!
Thank you. That was super informative. I'm just now finishing my BS and started searching. Thank god I found you. I'm in NJ, though, and I must do some shadowing?
Such a helpful video! I know this if an older video but if you are in school now do you have any other socials that I could reach out to you on for some questions/advice?
@@kayleyelizabethhickman1387 I am applying at Texas State University San Marcos Round Rock Campus and Texas Woman University Denton. TWU seems flexible we’ll see, Baylor is an option but so pricey! They all have so many different requirements!
I just applied the other day and haven’t heard anything anything from ENMU and I’m kind of stressing out about signing up since I’m trying to sign up ASAP, not sure if it takes a couple of days?
Hey Stephanie! The same thing happened to me! Pick up the phone and call them 😊. It's what I did and she immediately accepted me. Good luck in your SLP career!
@@kayleyelizabethhickman1387 I called and it was actually sent to my spam and said that they needed my transcripts before I could get accepted so now I’m just waiting, hoping I can register for classes soon! Thanks for the response :)
My leveling courses took about 1 year. I think I took about 10 classes. I did leveling courses based on specific requirements for Texas schools. ENMU has a lot longer leveling courses if you are wanting to apply to their grad program. Luckily, ENMU let me jump around and take my specific prerequisites. Hope this helped! :)
Thank you so much for sharing this valuable info that took you so much time to get... Kudos to your generosity.❤

Absolutely! Glad it helps! I work full time and I am a full time student. ENMU is a great route to go! Good luck with your SLP career!

Awesome!! Good luck with your classes! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
I start this summer. Are the classes a 'work at your own pace?' Meaning, can you work ahead?

Thank you for doing this! nobody does talk about this and i needed to know.
I decided on a second bachelors instead of my masters because I want to practice as a slpa before I graduate with my masters.

That transition music almost ruptured my eardrums
Which classes are better to take first? And which ones last?

Great video! Super helpful. Have you been able to hear back from the grad schools you applied to?
Thank you sooooooooooo much please update us with new details thank you sooooo much
Hello I had a few more questions about the program and was wondering if you would be willing to answer them :)
Which Grad schools are you considering? I am looking at that too! Where have you applied? I am in Texas too!
Hey! I didn't get into University of Houston :(. I did get into Baylor though! :). Be aware that it is SO competitive.

Yes absolutely! You have deadlines you have to meet each week, but most professors open up future assignments early.
