Loved the black jeans and pretty white blouson top on you! My first pay packet back I am 1972 went on a pair of high wedge cork sandals ,(which I promptly fell over in😊) and large hoop earrings......

I love Jean's because my life is very casual but I have a difficult time with finding the Jean's that fit right. Finally someone displays high rise jean! Unfortunately the beauty lo Jean's you reccomend are only in size up to 32 and I wear a 33 being 6 ft tall. You look great in your jean sets! Nice outfit ideas.

I love wearing jeans but being just 5 foot it is difficult as I always have to cut off at least 6inches. Then I loose that hem. Doesn't stop me searching and buying though. As for that first pay check I immediately rushed to a beautiful shoe shop and put on lay-by a pair of chocolate brown snakeskin ballet flats. I was 15yrs and earning 10 dollars a week. 5 of which went to board which left me 5 for a 2.50 weekly train ticket and 2.50 for everything else.. I paid 25 cents a week until I paid them off.. the funny thing is just recently I found a 2 pairs in black and cream and bought them .. they were of course a great deal more expensive than 1966. Love the style still at 71yrs. Great video and ideas as usual thankyou 😊
I am the same height, some companies like G-Star Raw has lengths you can choose, I choose 27 even 28 with kitten heels or low boots. Or, I get the ankle version and check the length, that usually is perfect on me as a full length. Also, Levi's online has varied hem lengths. My tailor can also do a jeans hem if I wanted to pay a little extra for that. It's the price we have paid for being short!!
I’m 5ft 3 and often have to have my jeans shortened. A good tailor/seamstress can do this and replace the original hem which usually has fading details etc. You don’t have to lose the detail just because the jeans have been shortened. Love the sound of those ballet flats🤩!

I have discovered a brand called Angel Jeans that are great for petite ladies (I believe they have all 3 lengths, petite, regular & tall). Love the white blouse & your Maryjane shoes 😉. I just purchased a light wash relaxed denim for the summer because I love wearing jeans all year round. Our summer temperatures in Phoenix can get as high as 110 degrees. I too am crazy for ecru jeans. I love the way you styled them with the contrast of black. The jacket you are wearing throughout the video is stunning. Thank you, Jess for your style inspiration. All the outfits were wonderful and I agree with you that the simple ones we forget how well they work as we over complicate things, or I certainly tend to. Aah thanks for the reminder Kate I forgot to write in the description box that I sized up in the blazer I'm wearing to a medium:) I didn't want it to be too cropped so by sizing up once it sits just on the hip bone which I like x
I can only find the vegan sambas which are not the best walking shoes due to stiffness, though it may loosen up with more wears, but I also need to bike with my husky so they are fashionable yet practical for cycling.

Although I am only 5ft tall, I hate heels and won’t wear them. A straight leg works very well for me as I have a lot of different styles of flats……classic loafers, ballet flats, thong sandals. I rarely do anything even close to “dressy”…..I’m either in a classic look or a somewhat boho/hippie look. I’m old..65yrs old… so I’ve had lots of time to learn how to dress my frame. I also worked in retail/women’s clothing for a number of yrs. I will probably be wearing jeans when I die…..they’re so versatile.
I love preppy style, too, it’s simple and classic. (Except that I don’t like the novelty prints, like those with anchors or lobsters, that some US preppy brands have).

I love them “ankle-length”, too, because they’re the only ones I don’t have to hem, they’re full-length on short me.

You should get a japanese made jeans.. They fit us short girls and their denim is top quality. Johnbull private labo is a good brand.
