A note on OMC's: For viewers that don't know an OMC (Old Man Coffie) is a player that opens a very narrow range (QQ+ generally) and plays it aggressively whether the situation warrants it or not. Now what happens with these players is that they get called out for playing tight. Over time, that pressure makes them open up their range a bit to include AK. However, you can't play AK the same as QQ+ post-flop without connecting. When that guy saw the flop, his plan probably was to bet until he was raised, then fold. Which is why his bets were so small. The OMC playstyle doesn't support bluffing so if they are betting, they think they got it.
As someone here has already mentioned, I love your vlog because you're a player just like most of us who follow you. You take care of your bankroll, you're fair and honest, you nicely explain every hand and how you played it, you accept criticism as well as praise. I follow you even from a smaller European country and you're truly one of the 3-4 vloggers that I really enjoy following. I've recommended you to all my friends who play poker and I wish you the best of luck at the tables and beyond!
On the aces hand when the person went lol in when the king paired that was a great lay down. Hitting back to back full house must feel good to win decent size pots
Good fold on the pocket 10s hand. You're beaten by a lot of cards there. Your only option is to go all in on the flop/turn to put maximum pressure on your opponent. But there's so many better times to do that. There's no need to sprint and punt to find yourself hoping for a 2 outter
I would agree with this statement but I just had a feeling. That was classic double barrel situation and I think that is what the guy was doing, barrelling back at weakness.
I like the lay down. It’s a multi way pot and usually these hands are played straight forward. I still wonder what he had though. A weak suited King I think. You had a 10 of spades so that reduces the chances he was on a flush draw.
@@NorCal_Pokertens seemed pretty standard, easy fold. Maybe a $70 c-bet on flop might be better play. Could save 30 bucks or maybe win the hand. Just how I might play it, but I might sometimes play it same as you.
I'm new to poker and not very good but I'm learning alot from the table and your vlog. Can you show us what your set up for recording looks like... is your phone on a stand?
@@NorCal_Poker I would think if you did, mp would still fold and if last to act was strong he might just call and give you a card for less $ or raise and that would help you know where you stand.
The 8-4 hand is a classic garbage hand turned into gold! *I do love to play in the gutter "as I call it" sometimes with those hands because if you catch it right like you did, oh man can make bank. The main reason is the odds you played 8-4 are always very low no matter when so it it flops 8-8-4 you are playing in the grass hidden from view so no will put you on it. You just have to let the others catch those draws to get paid out.
I know you say you have to leave when the clock strikes 2....does it ever force you to try and create action or play hands you wouldn't normally play cause you know your time is coming to an end and do you think you opponents notice and play a little wider against you?
11:43 it is amazing how many low stakes live players don't realize they are committed, even with a losing hand, and toss. I would have called and let the river do its thing.
3:32, that's a mistake not betting on the turn. You want to charge the draws, thin the herd, and build the pot now because you likely aren't getting much value on the river.
Last year when I was strictly playing 1/2 I kept track of all my tips & it averaged out to $3/hour only tipping $1-2 per hand. Played around 400 hours so $1200 ish. I’m not tipping $1-5 but not winning as many hands as often at 1/2 so probably around $3-4 per hour
In the last idk how many sessions I haven't seen AA or KK at all.. but last 10 sessions I'm up 13K.. when is your next meet up game?? Gonna try to make it out there and see Doug again.
5:12 TT...I would not check flop. K is your range, so Cbet is mandatory. Or, if you checked it, then fold to a bet. What are you to look for? If he bet flop, don't expect of him to check bricky turn. Particularly HJ who double flatted pf??! King is out of his range...even if he holds one, then it's highly bluffable. I know, it sucks leading OOP, but you supposed to know that when PF, didn't ya. I would Cbet Flop. Then (if called) I'd BLAST overbet turn. To teach crow a lesson.
I actually liked your exploitive fold on the AA hand with two kings on the board. That was a multi way pot and the way the villain played it I don’t know what bluffs he could have had. I agree with your AJ hand in that you would have thought AQ would have three bet a middle position raise. I thought the advice on your discord discussion was solid as well. I will add this though, I think you’re leading too many multi way pots still OOP. I would experiment with checking every time and when your opponents bet you can check call with your good but un nutted hands. This will save you money to hands like AQ as he most likely wouldn’t be betting all in. Keep the pots smaller this way. I would be check raising my premium hands and draws however for max value.
I don’t like the check raise on the aces hand. Only reason why for this exact reason if they just have two pieces of cardboard. Call turn check river call him down no matter what
@@NorCal_Poker that could happen & it’s definitely player dependent. I sometimes forget just because I would do something one way doesn’t mean they will. I know you can’t always hero call. I’m only 5:40 into the video But you’ve pretty much been bluffed on 2 hands. Sure the guy in TT hand might have had it but that was also a classic double barrel situation as well. I mean, if you gonna fold to a 2nd barrel why payoff the first barrel? When the 2 came off, pairing the board, I’d throw out a bet unless I knew the player and he never bets without the nuts. Don’t take my advice though I’m not the one playing every day. But when I do, I sometimes test the waters and make them prove it against aggression. Not all the time just when I got a feeling. And I had a feeling on both those hands.

Not quite - checking in flow is a rare move taken by pros when out of position versus the aggressor on the previous street. A much more optimal play in most instances is to simply bet regardless of position or who the aggressor was on the previous street, unless you are a pro who really knows what they're doing. Cheers!

4:54 its a fold, because you really can't improve much on this board and you are dead to a lot of his range already. At 1/3 people will limp call a weak K all day, or could have had As, Qs, Js, with anything. As played he is polar... either has a flush or is trying to protect a K and doesn't want to see another card. Either way you're dead.
