It's very outdated sadly Definitely a prototype kh1 Still wished Square expanded upon this IP more as there are places in its world that could have been explored And they can improve gameplay. kh1 is good example. I say kh1 because kh2 and beyond is more combat focus than exploration and puzzle. I still love them.
It's basically an action RPG with two parallel stories. The boy Rue with the Axe Blade has amnesia and can turn into monsters he defeats, and the girl Mint is trying to reclaim her birthright as a princess and wields rings and magic. Both are seeking the [Relic] for their own reasons, and cross paths multiple times. It's a cute, quirky story with light puzzle solving in an Action-RPG framework. It's fairly simplified in some aspects, such as how equipment is just about stats and so automatically equips when purchased. But its main systems like Rue's transformations have a bit more complexity to them than my little blurb suggests. Nowadays there's definitely better games, but at the time it was one of the better action RPG options (it's a couple years before Kingdom Hearts 1, after all). I do wish the game got a proper remake to bring it up to modern standards, but if you enjoy retro-feeling games it's worth a play
those special moments from the early 2000s when i got my Psone (2001 or something). and navigating the thrifts stores and getting the games pirated. but this one came with hard plastic cd-rom cover, with HQ print of the cover art. I loved this game. But never get past certain area. Same with Alundra 2. I need to play them again and complete them both to feel whole.
Worlds most underrated video game. Change my mind.
Nah, simplistic button masher with great music.

Some old MegaMan animation brought me here. I kinda wanna play this game to see what it's about.
Did you ever try it?
Megaman Next Attack
I played it it was confusing and boring af but the theme song was amazing I'd listen to it for hours instead of playing

Megaman Vibes
I bought this game in the early 2000s from the bargain bin and it was actually a great game back then. Got released at the wrong time.
Bargain bin? I remember this was the first full-priced game my dad bought for me back then. It was like $45 or something at Sam's very early on.
Now we’re all grown up…
