  • This video covers the famous Temple Tour of Bangkok. Here we covered two important Buddhist temple - Wat Pho and Wat Arun located on opposite side of Chao Phraya river. First we covered Wat Pho where you have the famous Reclining Buddha. It’s officially called Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan. This temple is first on the list of 6 temples in Thailand. . It’s associated with King Rama. This temple houses a school of Thai medicine and is also known as the birth place of the traditional Thai massage. , which is still taught and practiced at the temple.Entry fee is 200 THB.
    Wat Arun is an important Buddhist temple in Thailand. It’s is located on the west side of Chao Phraya river. The temple derives the name from the Hindu God Aruna, Wat Arun is also known the Temple of Dawn. This temple is visited by both Thais and foreigners due to the beauty and decorators. Entry fee is just 100 THB.
    DRESS CODE - Please follow the dress code in the Buddhist temples.. For men - ideally shirts and pants which covers the knee. Don’t wear T-shirts which do not cover the shoulder. For women there - skirts should cover the knees and the tops should cover the shoulder and the chest.
    One can cross the Chao Phraya river easily by taking the ferry service. Both the temples one must visit in Bangkok.
