You've got a hell of a talent going for you. If you were to do a print article for RMC or MR, you would definitely dethrone the past masters of weathering like Furlow, Allen, Soleburg and even the Weathering Shop crew. You're something else dude! !!!
Peter CPRail8748 ikr. I found his channel yesterday and so far have watched like 5+ 15min or more videos. In other words, I’m addicted to his channel...
@@signman9328 never use white over the original paint. Always use white acrylic and add a bit of the same color of the car to it and create a wash. Done.
I figured you used actual wire. Yeah I have small wire from a battery charger for my AC6000. Follow my Instagram, joe_trains23. I follow you. I will post a pic of that AC6000 soon.
This is a custom made detail part. I use Athearn's newer thinner light bulb wire for my MU cables. All the MU sockets and outlets are detail associates parts. ~Daniel
CDH Weathered I bet not as good as this guy though... no offense but dan has the best weathered engines I’ve ever seen. If there was nothing behind the engine I’d mistake if for a real loco.

An actual pain job will cost more, combined with weathering work. Also I should mention I am not taking painting projects currently as another fellow modeler has me booked up with several other projects.
This is fake, you actually went to an real train yard, used a high-tech shrink ray gun, and shrunk down some random diesel locomotives. Then you took them back into your worktable and called it. lol. Just Kidding. Great Job man.

You did an excellent job on this video and the locomotives.
perfectly done, like the original
You make me nervous with them balancing on them containers lol
Off way to keep them floating, but it helps to keep all the underflame details in the light, and I have yet to have a model fall off of one.
Damn Dan, that GEVO looks great!! I gotta tackle mine now. The roof chipping is fantastic.
They all look good the CSX SD70ACe is my favorite out of all of them.
In the future can you show a photo of the real life counterpart?? Good work otherwise
Amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩
You did good on weathering that engine
Awesome video love the weathering
Remarkable work
I really like how you faded the yellow on the UP unit. Can you do a video on how you get that faded yellow?
I agree----great work, but how do you make an existing paint job look faded? Are you using water-based or oil-based paints? Thanks.

Where can I find pictures of the real thing so that I can begin weathering.
How can I do that custom weathering with pan pastels not air brush. I used pan pastels
You should weather trains and sell them, damn they look amazing
That work looks amazing! I have a lot to learn I guess. :(
Nice.
Hey Dan, what did you use for the MU cable on the UP Gevo Unit? You said it was a custom piece? Thanks
I use lightbulb wire from Athearn units to do all my MU cables believe it or not.

how much would you charge for an AC6000?
Ew a furry
+NJ RailFan your point being?
Depends how much work needs done but an average rate for a loco is $90 to $120.
+DansRailroad2011 it's unpainted currently

The UP needs to be faded more
It's done from photos of the real unit, it doesn't need more fading.
+DansRailroad2011 Dan my bad I'm thinking of another engine I saw three days ago it was basically white it had faded that much
+DansRailroad2011 awesome job! maybe one day u can do a cn gevo
I would NOT but the train on that "stand."
