alcohol is very high in sugar. go to any AA or rehab and you'll see many bloated ppl who live on an almost total liquid diet. liver and kidney damage leads to the bloating, two key organs for removing what you take in malfunction. ppl with end stage liver failure retain so much fluid they need weekly or twice weekly hospital visits to have their body/torso drained.
Drinking coca cola and other sugary products , a diet rich in carbohydrates is pretty much the same as having an alcohol problem , probably worse for some people .
