Tip from a dressage rider!! Use a ¾ brown vinegar and ¼ water to make the baby hairs stay down!!

When you read out what the judge's wrote about Joey being correctly trained and his future poential , I felt so proud on your behalf . As I myself never managed to get beyond the stage of being a happy hacker.

Honestly you guys did amazing! Joey is doing SO well for his age. I work at a privately owned stable that breeds and raises Dutch Warmbloods, and our 5 year old is just now getting into actually learning how to carry himself under saddle and going over small baby jumps, but nowhere near show ready for a long while. So the fact that Joey is 7 and already doing well, just so awesome!!! I hope you guys rock your next show! You two are going to be unstoppable!!!

Hi Esme a tip for plaiting is when finished plaiting is to use a snuggy hood, lemieux have good ones, you can put it on when travelling or in the field to protect the plaits!

I recently started taking horse riding lessons and I volunteered at a show for the first time this weekend! It was so much fun!
esme- just a little tip from one difficult mane braider to another, hair gel (human) is your best friend. just put a little bit into each section before you braid it and it keeps it soooo much neater. and when you’re done rolling them cover his eyes and spray them with hair spray. it helps a lot.
Esme looks like a total pro and so does joey in her show outfit!

One thing I've found helpful for horses with little baby hairs for plating is if you slick them down with safe hair gel. You do have to wash their mane after though🥰🤪
I felt very emotional watching you and Joey . You must be feeling very proud lovey of how far Joey has come especially in the dressage 💜 well done and love your attitude such an inspiration to all equestrians young and old xXx
