The large circular attack is not coming from just battra, it’s coming from both mothra and battra. It’s a wide area because of mothra’s scales that she releases, and when battra fires at the scales his beam bounces all around them. (Like what happened with Godzilla and mothra in the movie when his beam got bounced around by her scales)
Yeah I knew instantly what was going on from the movie.
Nice to know Godzilla fans still watch the actual Godziila movies outside of Slopsterverse.
I can see both Showa Gigan & Megalon ended up as another duo unit. Like both Shimo-Skar & Battra-Mothra does. The game already have those two as prexisting individual units, plus they are known to be team mates within the franchise itself.
Another candidate for new duo unit would be Heisei Goji & Moguera, since they kinda did teamed up against Spacegodzilla in the movie.
Yep duo units have so much potential and there is so many that will be amazing for a duo units . Like gigan and KG , gigan and Megalon , goji and Jet jaga , goji and King ceaser , mg75 and titanosaurus . Etc.
I would love to see titanosaurus in the game! If they wanted to do more MV collabs they could do ghidorah/rodan, mothra/godzilla, or suko with kong or Doug would be fun. Gigan/monster x would be prety cool for some more final wars content too.
dude, I would love for Megalon to summon the ring of fire while they both dance around and debuff enemy units. would be so funny lmao
I can tell it's definitely whenever they both attack the same unit because the AOE they're doing is a specific team move that they use in the movie against the Godzilla
That's mothra and battras AOE not just battras
That means that might even come with the ability to reflect an opponent's attack power on themselves whenever they try to hurt mothra or Metro while the AOE is up (but I can't confirm that)
Yeah thought so, seemed like the aoe only appears when both are attacking the same unit

Everything counters swarms.... lol Swarms died in like Season 2.

Actually Swarms became Meta again with the introduction of the OG Gamera and Rio Evolved Godzilla.
Basically the strategy was to place Rio, place Gamera, and spam swarms, having many shielded units jump your enemies units while a mid level unit with a huge piercing attack and a long ranged version of G21 is not easy to deal with unless the team was built with swarms in mind.
It's actually disgustingly powerful.

Yeah if they are locked onto the same unit that's when the splash damage happens
Noticed besides the fact the mothra has the golden particles, if you pay attention, it looks like she might passively at times trigger some sort of ability similar to life force scales from the leader
All alternative units have had extra particles that the original units didn't. Likely just so that you don't get confused over which unit is which if there's two Mothras on the field.
@takkoy8658 normal mothra can have the golden particles as well once you unlock the skin through the star ranks, I'm saying how this one with the battra also has the golden particles, but it also seems to let off the effect of life force scales at times like when you would activate the original mothra's ability as a leader
Edit: what I'm trying to imply is this mothra with the battra might have some other ability outside of just attacking
Doesn't seem crazy powerful but those stats probably go insane with the new mothra card and the destroyah card that buffs swarms
I thought in The Battle for Earth, Mothra used her scales to reflect Battra's prism beams. I do agree that it'd be better if we got new game pieces based on classic kaiju.
I like the duo gimmick, its basically a more unique version of Alt units, but do agree that like Alt units they should be the additional new unit, not the main new unit.
This new season looks good so far! I did not see this coming. I always liked the flying meta the best.

Looks like the consensus is that Battra and Mothra do single target beams when not targeting the same unit and when they are, they perform the AOE in a pretty large radius. This is amazing and I will be sure to have them. New ace inbound, prepare to be lit up! lmao

If you saw the movie the AOE is from that. Mothra's scales reflect the beams.
It’s cool but we totally could’ve used a new unit. Titanosaurus, Final Wars Anguirus, Obsidious and Krystalak, there’s so many to pick from 😭
I think it’s a cool idea for a battra/moth duo but I don’t see them fairing well against the new G24 alt since he’ll just melt them both

It looks like Mothra's single target attack is weaker, but marks units for the team multi target attack. It also looks like Mothra is defense before her first single target attack, emitting her 'scales', which would be a great 'damage reduction' for the first 30 seconds of being placed. High potential for this unit. But I have a feeling it'll be nerfed pretty quickly if I'm right about the abilities.

I don't see how size matters here, given that Megalon is easily the same size as Biollante and Kaiser Ghidorah in the game. :V

Just as long as they don’t charge us premium for pass this month February usually gets skipped! Historically if they are going to charge us more premium passes more then $7-8$ passes through the year they (Toho) Better give us more Gotcha chances in these premium passes!! Just saying that’s just my experience playing since first Gamera came into the game!!! One of the reasons I play.

We literally got rodan the last 2 months I can understand a angurirus and gmk baragon. But like varan and gorosaurus idk man toho prob wouldn't use them because they're like really not that much popular . That's the harsh truth

I understand the concern about asset reuse. But changing the models wouldn't be accurate to the movies. Toho reused so many models in the past. This game kinda is put into a corner because of it.
If they possibly do a Godzilla 1992, I hope it is not the 89 model being reused with the difference only being the eyes being yellow and orange, please toho games don't be that lazy
I am actually disappointed with this. They could've picked anyone else, ANYONE. Instead, they gave us another duo unit that you can use the two separately to make that said unit. I hope we get another Battle piece voting poll because I badly want Varan in this game.

Toho needs to add in more showa kajius,we need titanosaurus,we need gorosaurus,and we need showa godzilla and ghidorah,they missed out so many times,i really want them to bring more showa kajiu to the mix,we already have too much rewia/monsterverse kajiu,and hesei kajiu as well,so they need to add more showa stuff to the game

Why would they? Why give us a kaiju that hasn't been in the game yet. Why give us Showa Godzilla? Why give us 54 Goji as a lead? Why give us Varan?
Kumonga would be kinda cool but I would much prefer baragon or varan . She's just a giant spider .
They really have to update there old models, battra and G89 the most because man they do not look film accurate

If it was a battra alt I would understand but a mothra battra duo is a cool addition imo . Even then the model is fine imo . So I personally don't understand the hate towards duo units .since they have alot of potential. I loved dbl tag goku and vegeta unit . It's like people like to complain about everything

Yes, not new models, but it's still a very cool moment from the movie, and it looks pretty powerful and very cool imo. Definitely looking forward to it more than I was Skar King and Shimo.

yeah im done, they need to make new units and stop being lazy. They keep this up the game will be dead in 2 or less year, update the models and release new units or dont waste my time.
I mean as long as there is a new gimmick or a unit never before seen I am fine with it . I also genuinely think we need a filler season imo .

Have you literally never seen godzilla vs mothra battle for earth? Mothra and battra teaming up against godzilla is like the main final fight that happens in that movie .
