I was married and now I am divorced. My husband not only cheated on me, but he started a family with the strange woman while we were married. I still tried to fight for the marriage and wanted us to work through it. Sadly he did not want that-he wanted the life with the strange woman.
It took me a while to accept that I could not remarry. I was stuck on it not being “fair” and I deserved a fresh start. The more I watched Pastor Jennings teaching-I became more acceptant of the single life that would please God. No it wasn’t right how I was done, but at the end of the day I did all I knew to do to make it right. God will deal with and judge my husband accordingly. It’s my job to live a life pleasing to God. Thank you for sharing the truth.

To one who says all remarriage after any first divorce is a sin taking you to hell:
Jesus wasn’t making new laws. -Anymore than he told us to poke out our eyes. He was speaking to the heart of the issues. It’s why marrying a divorced man is MISSING from his words! You must stop picking what to use as a weapon from the Bible. How you judge is how you will be judged. One could just as easy say that no nonvirginal women can marry, going by Paul’s words and bc neither he or Jesus said they could.
These severe marriage doctrines are a narrative that is not really seen in the Bible. There aren’t cases of people being told to leave their believing spouse and family and go back to their unsaved past to find an ex that left. Or telling the one that is married to a “remarried” person that they are actually free to leave and go get a new spouse.
We must use discernment. Just as most can see that all killing is not murder; all remarriage after divorce is not sin.
Anyone saying someone should leave their faithful spouse and they can go have another is not speaking to the heart of the issue.
We aren’t to sin like that so that grace may abound.
Use wisdom and don’t go cherry picking through the Bible to feel secure in false works that do not save.
I was married at 21 yrs old to my first. He cheated and left. I waited over 10 years before I divorced him and married again. I didn't know the law of God on divorce and remarriage. Now I've been single over 20 years. Now that I've been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Spirit. I pray 🙏 that God has forgiven me. My first husband is still living and married to someone else. So I guess I'll be single until Jesus Christ returns. But if my first husband returns, Iam here waiting.

I am a stickler for the Word of God, exactly as it has been given unto us. This is the way that God shall judge mankind. I agree with Bishop Jennings on baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ, the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the initial signs of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, on the Oneness of God, the fullness of the Godhead bodily is found in Jesus Christ, and that, while Jesus was God, He was God manifested in the flesh, as a human being that died and was sacrificed and shed His blood for our sins. A Spirit could not die on the cross, but as a man, Jesus both could, and did, and rose again from the dead. These things we agree on. I recently asked AI (artificial intelligence) for an unbiased view of Matthew 19:9. Bro same here. I was married last year to a divorced woman and I was afraid because everyone was telling me that I committed adultery because I was married to a divorced woman. Now we’re divorced for 8 months now and I miss her dearly but people have told me I cannot go back to her because I’d be in adultery all over again. I was also told I can’t get remarried and I have to live a life being single which absolutely infuriates me because I’m only 23 and would love to be married to my TRUE spouse one day and have children

I'm so sad. I was married for almost 10 years and My husband cheated on me and got another woman pregnant. He then forced and tricked me into signing documents which I thought were documents to buy realestate and I didn't realize that they were divorce papers. I forgave him after many years of heartache and raising my daughter alone while this man was living in sin. He then left the second wife and married a third time. I remained divorced and alone. I think he has regrets but the damage has been done. I reconnected with my high school classmate and he's divorced. I wished I had married him. He's such a wonderful and godly man and he wants to marry me, but I have to tell him after watching this video that we can't do this. It breaks my heart but I want to honor God's word and his teaching. Please pray for me. This has been a challenging time for me and I feel so alone and helpless.

Matthew 19:9 say you can remarry if your spouse cheat.
Deut. 24:4 say if your spouse has been defiled you are not to take them back.

Please do some research and reasoning on the Scriptures. What Gino Jennings is teaching on this matter is a twisted far stretch from what the Scriptures really teach on this matter. He has put his own spin on it as I will show you.
Yes as Jesus pointed out to the Pharisees who challenged him, 'from the beginning when God instituted marriage it was never His intention that it should come to an end by divorce'. But with the fall of man there have been some temporary modifications the Scriptures have shown to justify a Christian divorcing and re-marrying if they choose to do so - and there's been no reconciliation with the former mate. Mr. Jennings leans very heavily on Mark 10:11&12 or Luke 16:18 (both of which do give the impression it's wrong to divorce and remarry). However both writers apparently concentrated on the latter part of what Jesus said - because Matthew 19:9 is not the abbreviated version of Jesus' position as written in Mark and Luke. It is the complete standard Jesus taught on this matter.
You are all told that Matthew 19:1-9 is about "betrothed" or engaged couples because as he spins it, "married people can't commit fornication only adultery". This is the wrong reasoning of him on the Scripture. Understand please, Both Matthew 19:1-9 & Mark 10:2-12 are dealing with the same exact occasion of the Pharisees challenging Jesus on this topic. Now you will notice that when they did this, they referenced a Biblical passage from Deuteronomy 24:1-4, and if you read it - it's clearly dealing with people who are COMPLETELY MARRIED - NOT THE ENGAGED (and considered husband & wife in name only), as was the case with Mary and Joseph before the angel of Jehovah directed Joseph to 'take Mary to his home as his complete wife'. From that point on by God's pronouncement Mary and Joseph were now completely married and able to live under the same roof and eventually become intimate - Matthew 1:24,25.
There was no such thing as "shacking up" with your betrothed or engaged wife or husband before an Israelite was officially declared married. The young lady's father had to release her to go be this man's wife & to live in the same home and be sexually intimate.
The Scripture at Deuteronomy 24:1-4 says, 'If a man takes a woman to be his wife AND MARRIES HER...but later finds some uncleanness about her he could give her a WRITTEN DOCUMENT OF DIVORCE & SEND HER OUT OF HIS HOUSE; And she could become another man's wife living in the new husbands home & the new husband could do the same thing if necessary'.
Again the Pharisees questioned Jesus not about single people of the opposite sex (in an engaged husband & wife situation before marriage), but people who were already completely married. And Jesus logically responded on that basis about married people as that Scripture clearly shows. How ridiculous for him to have ignored that and start responding about engaged couples.
So to say, as Mr. Jennings does, that two kinds of wives are being talked about is pure NONSENSE. And squeezing in the situation of Mary & Joseph, being called husband and wife before married by God, as he always does has no bearing on this whatsoever. Deuteronomy the Pharisees used to challenge Jesus on is about MARRIED PEOPLE.
The other big mistake he makes to you all is not understanding that originally Jesus did not say just fornication only at both Matthew 5:32 & Matthew 19:9. By the time the original King James Bible was released some 400+ years ago, very little information was available on the full meaning of the original Greek word Matthew recorded Jesus using - "PORNEIA/O". All they knew was it was in reference to Prostitution or single people of the opposite sex having sexual relations - fornication. Since then an avalanche of documents of that time of Christ and the Apostles shows that "PORNEIA" was the commonly used word used to describe ANY AND ALL SEXUAL ACTIVITIES involving the genitals OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE. This word was used to describe not only fornication but also: Incest, Homosexuality, Beastiality, Prostitution and even ADULTERY too. This is why modern reputable Bible translations, including the New King James Bible, often say things like "Sexually Immoral" or "Sexual Immorality" - because those expressions match the original broad meaning of "Porneia".
And most significantly even the Scriptures shows this to be the case. Recall if you would the situation of Sodom and Gomorrah and the areas around them who were wicked for various reasons but mostly for there EXTREME indulgence in sexual depravity that involved not just fornication but homosexuality as well. In fact homosexuality was so rampant The Bible says, 'ALL THE MEN of the city from young boys to old men wanted to forcibly have homosexual relations with the two male visitors in Lots house & maybe even Lot as well' - Genesis 19:4, 5 & 9. But that original Greek word "Porneia" was used to describe the sexual immoralities of these people. Because it was way beyond heterosexual sex between the opposite sex - Jude verse 7.
The use of the word fornication there in Jude verse 7, in older transactions such as King James, doesn't really make sense; If as Gino Jennings puts it, 'fornication is something done only by single people of the opposite sex'. Because clearly the homosexuality was off the chain rampant in that area. So even the New King James Bible says "sexual immorality" and not fornication at Jude 7.
A man in the Corinthian Church was having sexual relations with either his own mother or stepmother - 'his father's wife' - 1 Corinthians 5:1.
Regardless of whether she was a mother by blood or even as his step mother - it would be considered incest on some level and was forbidden. Plus she being married was commiting adultery on his father. His status as single or married isn't spoken of there. But the original word used there in Greek by the Apostle Paul was not fornication but "Porneia" to describe this immorality that was going on.
A prostitute having one on one sex with a single individual or even multiple partners at the same time is described as "Porneia" - Revelation 18:3 & 9 and 1 Corinthians 6:16.
These are just a few examples to show that word used by the lord Jesus at Matthew 5:32 and 19:9 has more than the limited meaning of fornication between single opposite sex individuals. "Porneia" includes Adultery as well - make no mistake about it.
You said your husband committed adultery at least with two other women and obviously despite your forgiving him, you both have never reconciled. And you've denied yourself an opportunity of marriage because of this false doctrine taught by Mr. Jennings. And that's sad for you and others also who've denied themselves a Scriptural justified new mate. Or this foolishness taught y'all also about breaking up the new marriage & to go back to the 1st mate - even if kids are involved. Or wait 'till the 1st mate has died to be free. UTTERLY RIDICULOUS AND MORE IMPORTANTLY UNSCRIPTURAL. Even Deuteronomy 24:4 advised against going back to the 1st mate.
He always takes out of context the Scriptures that do say, 'You must not leave your mate' or 'You're bound to that mate for life'. And while that is true it doesn't apply to someone like you who has the Scriptural grounds of adultery as the basis for the divorce and new marriage as Jesus stipulated in Matthew. Contrary to what Mr. Jennings teaches, your ex-husband IS NOT YOUR "LIVING HUSBAND" - he is your former husband and that marriage is no longer seen as such in Jehovah's eyes now. It's over and done with unfortunately.
So Scripturally, if you choose to re-marry you have the right to do so, you always did.
If this old school friend is good to you and appreciates God's word and is willing to still have you as his wife - By all means you should definitely marry him - you don't have to be alone.
Do not be mislead and shamed into believing "God calls you a "hoe" or "whore" as Gino Jennings has often read out to you from an uninspired apocryphal book. It's for reasons of such contradictions and other major flaws like that the, other well known 66 books of the Bible - rejected these apocryphal writings were in the 1st place.
So please reason on the Scriptures and research what "PORNEIA" meant back in Jesus' day as well as today in Greek - it's easy to do so. And stop denying yourself the freedom God and the lord Jesus have made on that one exception for you in divorce and re-marriage of "PORNEIA".

God is your heavenly father, he is a good god, a graceful God a loving God. Actually not really because Mr. Gino Jennings is misleading people with unscriptural justification of shame and guilt into thinking they can't divorce a sexually Adulterous mate by him saying, 'married people can't commit fornication only adultery - because Jesus said fornication at Matthew 19:1-9' ; OR he leans on the ABBREVIATED version of Jesus' complete view on marriage and divorce written at Mark 10:2-12 - where Mark only focused on the latter part of what Jesus said on this occasion when the Pharisees approached him with this challenge to trip Jesus up.
If Marks or even Luke's remarks on this matter (recorded at Luke 16:18 & did the same as Mark) were the only thing said on this matter - then yes there'd be no justified reason Scripturally to divorce and remarry. But again these two verses clearly only quoted the latter part of Jesus' view. The complete UN-ABBREVIATED view of Jesus can't be overlooked at Matthew 19:9.
Gino Jennings says, 'Jesus was speaking about 2 kinds of wives, the engaged type and the married type ; And fornication at Matthew 19:1-9 only applied to single people in an engaged situation who were viewed in Israelite culture back then as husband and wife - as Joseph and Mary were'.
But he is completely WRONG and here's how: When the Pharisees questioned Jesus, as both Matthew 19:1-9 & Mark 10:2-12 are speaking about the same exact occasion, they were not questioning him concerning engaged or "betrothed" couples considered husband and wife - and this is clearly seen by them using Deuteronomy 24:1-4 as there basis in responding to Jesus saying, 'so why did Moses say give her a written bill of divorcement and send her away'.
If you take the time to read Deuteronomy 24:1-4 it is clearly dealing with situations concerning FULLY MARRIED COUPLES - NOT THE ENGAGED.
The Scripture says, 'if a man takes a woman as his wife AND HE MARRIES HER & she is found unclean in her husband's eyes, he can WRITE A BILL OF DIVORCEMENT & put it in her hand and SEND HER OUT OF HIS HOUSE...She can now become another man's wife living in his house and if the latter marriage didn't work out the new husband could do the same to her as the 1st husband....but she could not go back to become wife of the 1st husband again because Jehovah viewed that kind of cross sexual intermingling of these two men with her defiling'. Now reason on the Scripture here, it says, 'the man not only took her to be his wife (as true even a single man could do and thus be her engaged husband and she his engaged wife) - but it CLEARLY STATES HE MARRIED HER, TOOK HER HOME (thus under his roof as her MARRIED husband to have sexual relations with her), later sends her out of his house with a written divorce and she was free to marry another man - who could do the same if he deemed it necessary.
This passage the Pharisees used at Jesus was clearly dealing with those FULLY MARRIED - NOT THE ENGAGED OR BETROTHED.
So naturally Jesus responded to that situation mentioned there at Deuteronomy 24:1-4; for him to suddenly start addressing them back concerning an engaged couple situation would have been RIDICULOUS ! No my friend he responded concerning people completely married - not a Joseph and Mary situation an "betrothed" to be married - before God directed the Angel to tell Joseph Mary was obviously from God's standpoint now considered married since he directed him to 'take her to his home as his wife'. This was not something done in that culture unless you were fully and completely married in God's eyes. So contrary to the twisted interpretation Gino Jennings puts on this by making y'all think Jesus was talking about 2 types of wives - he was only referring to REAL MARRIED COUPLES - A REAL WIFE NOT AN ENGAGED WIFE.
Lastly, he obviously has not made himself aware that the expression fornication used at both Matthew 5:32 and Matthew 19:9 was not originally used by Jesus as recorded by Matthew. By the days of the King James Version's completion there was very little understanding of the Greek word Matthew quoted Jesus as saying - and it is "PORNEIA/I". That was the word used back then in that culture and still is today in Greek to refer to ANY SEXUAL ACTIVITIES INVOLVING THE GENITALS OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE. Contrary to Gino's misunderstanding ADULTERY is covered by this word and does justify a Christian to divorce and remarry Scripturally if they choose too do so - because they can't reconcile with the Adulterous mate.
It's not just in an avalanche of documents discovered over the years of that time period of Jesus and the Apostles - but most significantly scholars now know this and see how PORNEIA is used in various situations even in the Bible, that don't just involve to single people of the opposite sex having relations. It was once only believed to refer to Prostitution or fornication of the single - but here are some examples that involve more than just Prostitution and fornication only:
1 Corinthians 5:1 uses "PORNEIA" to describe the sexual incestuous relationship a man in the Corinthian Church was having with his mother or stepmother. She was his father's wife one way or the other. Whether was single or married isn't mentioned there to know if he was just committing fornication on his part or Adultery - but definitely his mother/stepmothers involvement was clearly Adultery & incestuous. But the entire situation was called, not fornication originally in that Scriptures original language of Greek - but PORNEIA.
Jude 7 is addressing the main reason, besides other wicked deeds, that existed in Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed by God. And as we all know the Homosexuality was rampant in those cities and the areas around them to the point Genesis 19:4-7 shows how 'ALL sorts of men from boys to old men came to Lots home demanding sex aggressively with the visiting men (they didn't know were really Jehovah's angels). But in the original Greek of this verse it didn't say Fornication but PORNEIA to describe all this sexual immorality that included rampant Homosexuality.
That word used by Jesus at Matthew 5:32 and 19:9 referes in the Greek of that day and today to ALL KINDS OF SEXUAL ACTIVITY OF THE GENITALS OUTSIDE OF MARRIED - AND ADULTERY IS OURSIDE OF MARRIAGE.
So on both levels of Gino not understanding Deuteronomy 24:1-4 deals with MARRIED PEOPLE - NOT THE ENGAGED, and how Matthew quotes Jesus using PORNEIA AND NOT JUST SIMPLY FORNICATION - has led to this twisted interpretation he teaches.
SO TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE DENIED YOURSELF THE SCRIPTURAL GROUND TO DIVORCE AN ADULTEROUS MATE, YOU CAN'T RECONCILE WITH, AND EVEN SEEK A NEW MATE, IF YOU CHOOSE; YOU ARE NOT A "HOE" OR "WHORE" AS MISTER JENNINGS HAS WRONGLY TAUGHT AND SHAMED YOY FOR DOING SO. THAT FORMER MATE IS NO LONGER YOUR "LIVING MATE YOU ARE BOUND TO FOR LIFE", AS GINO JENNINGS WRONGLY TEACHES - BUT THAT MARTIAGE IS OVER AND NO LONGER RECOGNIZED IN GOD'S EYE IF THERE'S NO RECONCILIATION AND YOU ARE NOT BOUND TO THAT FORMER MATE. YOU ARE FREE TO REMARRY ON THE GROUNDS OF ADULTERY ABD NOT DO THIS IDIOTIC NONSENSE GINO TEACHES OF LEAVING YOUR NEW MATE OR BREAK UP A FAMILY WITH KIDS AND PERHAPS GO BACK TO THE 1S MATE.
EVEN IN DEUTERONOMY 24:4 JEHOVAH MADE IT CLEAR HE DIDN'T APPROVE OF THAT EITHER - SO GINO IS SIMPLY PUSHING HIS OWN MISINTERPRETATION.

Im a divorced man and it’s hard to hear this preaching but I have to say that the more I hear it the more I love the word of God and the way pastor Jennings preaches it. God bless this awesome man of God.
In the New Testament, "fornication" comes from the Greek word porneia, which includes adultery and incest. So this scripture is saying that if your partner has commited adultery, you can remarry. Look up the original Hebrew of the word fornicatioin used in Mathew 19:9. It encompasses adultery and all sexual immorality. This is not debatable.

I learned about this too late, I never knew about this, until after I had already remarried. I am not married to anyone, I divorced my first husband, and my second husband. Both my husband’s passed away, long after I divorced them. I remain single to this day, until God brings me a husband, and if he doesn’t, he doesn’t.
Ms. I pray that GOD would stop the mouth of Gino Jennings, and it's because he misuses the scriptures and he also doesn't give people everything they needs to know, he only gives people what he wants them to know.... There's more to this marriage thing, if people listen and follow Gino Jennings they will have miserable lives and be sitting up pretending like they all right , like they at peace and content, just Lying to GOD, Lying to themselves and Lying to other people.....First, before a person is born again if the had gotten married 100 times once they are baptized their sins is washed away , but even though the sins are washed away every one still reap what they has sown.... But baptism is void and of non effect if those previous marriages are held against them and if they ends up being sent to hell for those marriages then there was no need to be baptized cause it didn't help, it was worthless.... He may be living his best life. However, there are going to be some situations throughout that relationship where he will miss things you did for him. Nah, will he ever say it, probably not! I am very sorry you've been treated so horrendously. And yes he will suffer in ways you may not ever see. Obviously he doesn't want to reconcile with you it seems. And according to Jesus' full complete teaching on this matter at both Matthew 5:32 and 19:9, not expressed in full by Mark 10:11&12 and Luke 16:18 - your FORMER husbands Adultery is not originally called "Fornication" in those Scriptures. Matthew used the original Greek word "Porneia", as the New Testament was not originally written in old King James Bibles 400+ year old English. At the time a lot of older translations were being put together they didn't fully understand just how broader and extensive that Greek New Testament word word was - unlike research over the years since then till now. By researching the everyday language of documents from Jesus' & the Apostles time period and down to this day it is completely understood properly.
That word Porneia Miss means "ANY AND ALL SEXUAL ACTIVITY OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE INVOLVING THE GENITALS OF LIVING BEINGS"....Because it's all sexual sin outside of sex in God condoned sex in marriage.
PORNEIA covered: Fornication, Adultery, Bestiality with an animal, Pedophilia, Homosexuality, Incest or Prostitution - it all falls under the category of Porneia in the Scriptures - and there are Scriptures that prove this as well ; Such as Jude 7 originally using that word to describe ALL the extremely gross sexual Immorality that was happening in Sodom, Gomorrah & the other cities around them. Of which Homosexuality was obviously rampant as Genesis 19:4-9 says,....'ALL THE YOUNG BOYS TO OLD MEN OF THE CITIES came out surrounding Lots home demanding to have forced Homosexual relations with the two male visitors and worst to Lot' as well'. Obviously the men had to have had sex with women in Fornication and Bisexual relations to produce 'ALL THE YOUNG BOYS' Genesis mentions. But Jude 7 called it all Porneia originally and not Fornication as later translations would mistakenly do. This is why modern translations like the New King James Bible, with better understanding translate Jude 7 & Matthew 5:32 & 19:9 among others using expressions like "Sexual Immorality" or "Sexually Immoral" and not Fornication any more.
I know you've been taught you don't have the Scriptural right to divorce and remarry, even, if Adultery was involved as the basis, & there's no reconciliation ; But that's completely false according to what Matthew recorded Jesus saying using that Greek word Porneia in those 2 places at Matthew 5:32 & 19:9. Remember Mark and Luke weren't as detailed on Jesus position as Matthew was and those Scriptures have to be understood in harmony with Jesus' one complete standard stated in full to the Pharisees. Or else Jesus' teaching is a big ridiculous contradiction. In one place saying you can do it & then in another saying you can't - and that's not possible, Jesus was not contradictory.
It is also not true that Jesus was addressing unmarried people when he stated this twice at Matthew 5:32 & 19:9 or was he was referring to the "espoused" or engaged types.
This is proven if you read his and the Pharisees conversation right before starting at both Matthew 19:1-8 and the same story being told at the same time by Mark 10:2-9. Both Jesus and the Pharisees were quoting Scriptures to make their point that dealt with people fully married not "betrothed" or "espoused" to be married. Jesus quoted Genesis 2:24 and the Pharisees quoted Deuteronomy 24:1-4 - both of those Scriptures are referring to married couples not the engaged to be married types. Engaged couples were not described in the Bible as, ' living together sexually as one flesh, but still at home until they married & had the right to do this. There was no necessary need for a written bill or certificate of divorcement, do the man could send her out if his house' - as those Scriptures they used points out clearly.
So that when he told the Pharisees next,.... 'Moses allowed all this divorcing on any grounds out of your hard hearts - BUT I SAY TO YOU there is now going to be only 1 GROUND - PORNEIA to justify a divorce & remarriage' ; He was obviously still referring to the same fully married types he was dialoguing with the Pharisees about using those Scriptures.
He was not now suddenly jumping off talking about those fully married to refer to engaged couples - that's nonsense and being read into it that way by Mr. Jennings own twist interpretation because he either doesn't understand or deliberately ignores the true meaning of that Greek word Porneia Matthew recorded there - which again refers to ANY KIND OF SEX OUTSIDE MARRIAGE LIKE ADULTERY TOO.
Yes as Jesus said,.... 'from the beginning [God] did not intend marriage to end in divorced' ; But instead be a life long committed bond where a man never leaves the wife or the woman her husband - but stay together for life - as Paul pointed out in both 1CORINTHIANS 7 & ROMANS 7. And yes God 'hates a divorcing' as Malachi said.
However the words of Jesus at Matthew 5:32 & 19:9 clearly allows for an exception on the one basis of sexual infidelity in the marriage, if there's no reconciliation, as it seems to sadly be in your case & others as well. I know Mr. Jennings is a very gifted charismatic thunderous preacher, but you can't be moved by that or any other theatrics - in making life altering decisions instead of understanding God's word thoroughly on this. So many comment on these channels they are guilty ridden after divorcing on Adulterous grounds and remarried, started a family and then were introduced to this false doctrine by Jennings or some other minister - and decided to leave the new mate and maybe kids behind by breaking up the family - and it wasn't Scripturally necessary to have done so.
Others speak of remaining single for life despite wanting to remarry someone else who could have made them happy - because of this teaching. Still some speak of being told to go back and reconcile with the divorced Adulterous mate, who themselves may have actually remarried and started a new family. Others who say they'll just pass the years or decades by waiting for that mate to come back to them or die - and then they'll be free to remarry. ALL VERY SAD AND UTTER UNSCRIPTURAL NONSENSE BEING TAUGHT. ALTERING DANGEROUSLY PEOPLES LIVES.
So I don't know for sure where you are now exactly in your feelings and thoughts. But if you too believed Adultery doesn't justify a Scriptural divorce and remarriage if you choose, I hope you will reconsider the Scriptures here mentioned and reason on them and understand Mr. Jennings is completely wrong and has misled y'all in this.....best wishes to you.

In this context, having divorced a spouse and married someone else, how does one repent from what Jesus calls adultery? Regardless of the reason for divorce, if you remarry while your spouse is still alive, you are committing adultery and adulterers will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9).

If you initially divorced him for adultery that was on proper Scriptural grounds, because adultery is one of the meanings of the original Greek word Jesus used called "PORNEIA" at Matthew 5:32 & Matthew 19:9. "Porneia" was in those days and still is today a word that means any kind of sexual activity that involves the genitals outside of the marriage bed with another living being - human or animal. It covers not only fornication but also: beastiality, incest, homosexuality, prostitution and adultery too. But considering the attempt to reconcile didn't work and he is now living with, and obviously sexually involved, with another woman - you definitely do have the right Scripturally to divorce him again and if you choose in the future - remarry.
It is not true that Jesus said only fornication at both Matthew 5:32 & Matthew 19:9 and it only applies to single people, engaged to be married & thus called husband &wife in name only. That is completely wrong, because the Pharisees were quoting the Scripture at Deuteronomy 24:1-4 which deals exclusively with 'married people living in the same house and allowed to have sex relations until, for some unclean reason, the husband writes a bill of divorcement, gives it to the wife and sends her out of his house. She could then marry another man in come under his roof...'
So when Jesus responded back to them he was aware of that Scripture and wouldn't have responded about the engaged, who had no full complete rights of a real married couple to live together sexually - that would've been ridiculous. So when he goes on to say 'there is one exception for divorce allowed to qualify for one to re-marrying, if they choose because they can't remember, it is adultery - which again is one of many expressions of Porneia Jesus originally mentioned. So to reason that married people can't fornicate is correct technically by definition. But again a little research will show you that Greek word covered more than fornication as Mr. Jennings wrongly asserts.
It was used to refer to the homosexuality of Sodom & Gomorrah at Jude 7. The incestuous & Adulterous affair a man was having with his father's own wife was called by Paul Porneia originally in the Greek.
The King James Bible and others years ago didn't understand the word beyond fornication & prostitution - but now scholars know much better on research of documents of that time period, and when translations are updated now or new, such as the New King James Bible - they'll say "Sexually Immoral" or "Sexual immorality" in many of these places - because those expressions are more broader and accurate.
For example: if as Mr. Jennings contends that fornication is only something two single people of the opposite sex can do, then why would it make sense at Jude 7 to say the men of Sodom & Gomorrah were fornicators - when Genesis 19:4,5&9 makes it clear that homosexuality was extremely rampant when it says, "All of the men of the city from young boys to old men came out & surrounded Lots home to have sex forcibly with the two male visitors & maybe even Lot too'? No Porneia was what Jesus mentioned and it again means all kinds of gross sexual conduct outside of marriage.
The Scriptures at Mark 10:11&12 or Luke 16:18 are abbreviated versions of Jesus full complete statement on this at Matthew 5:32 & Matthew 19:9. They have to harmonize with Jesus' one law on this matter or what he says is a big confusing contradiction. And that's not possible.
So you say you're still unmarried? Well if it's by your choosing that's ok. But if it's because you've been misled into thinking you can't re-marrying under the circumstances you mentioned - that's completely false. If you didn't have Scriptural grounds the first time of the divorce - you definitely do now with your former husband having taken up with another woman sexually. The Scriptures about 'separating and remaining un-married' or 'you're bound to your husband all your life' do not apply to you any longer - because in God's eyes this man is no longer your living husband as Gino likes to always say - that marriage is now cancelled out and is no more. God does not call you a "hoe" or "whore" in The Holy Bible of 66 inspired books. Gino gets that nonsense from an uninspired apocryphal book that taught that - and it completely contradicts what has been shown you Jesus taught and is the rule now.

I had an 2 affair in 2010 and my wife forgave me in 2010 but now 2022 she wants a divorce and says that it's still hurts her and she does not love me or trust me anymore.She had moved out with my 1 daughter and the other daughter lives with me.I don't want a divorce because I am still in love with her.we are married for 27 years.I never ever abused her but I committed adultery.I repented and asked God to forgive me.

You did abuse your wife you abused her emotionally and mentally when you were having an affair with another woman, then if she forgave you in 2010 and then all of sudden in 2010 she doesn't love you cause she's still hurting from the affair then she's not a good wife because she was taking and pretending to love you from 2010 - 2020, she stayed while you was having an affair and then you stayed while she was pretending to love you while she was claiming and pretending to have forgiven you, that's your situation in a nut- she'll....She she wants a divorce let her go cause if you stay married and move back in with one another you both will be miserable.... My mom and my stepdad was married over 30 yrs now, growing up he abused her in every way, cheated on her an most times lock her out the house, sometimes I would open the door for her to come in and I would be locked out with her also. She always said she cant wait for us to grow up so she could stop suffer. Years later we grew up, she moved out , she traveled an was working and was earning her own but was still contacting him, next thing I know, my mother was sending him money to buy new furniture and extend the house. When she came bck to jamaica she though he would change , they had a bloody fight and he burned all her belongings, that was the last straw for her. Shes now rebuilding a house starting over but because of struggles she now wants all her furnitures that she had him bought while she was overseas . Please pray for us, it hurts me so much

The notion of divorce and remarriage and how God prohibits this is very true in almost every case, but this is only half the story. I noticed though I think Pastor Jennings is the most raw and the best pastor we have today, is only telling half the story and using 1 or 2 verses to quote divorce and remarriage which would definitely back his claims. But on the contrary, if you read 1 Corinthians 7:15, Matthew 5:32 and Matthew 19:9 (Start from a few verses for context), you will find in the words of God himself that God does permit divorce and in the case of Matthew 19:9 divorce and remarriage ONLY IF one spouse has committed fornication against the other. We cannot sit here and call something the truth if we are only going to acknowledge and tell half of what God's word says
True fornication means having sex outside of marriage whether married or not. And the bible does permit divorce if a spouse cheats. Also no where in the bible does it say that people went to get a marriage license. I was in a relationship for ten years and struggled with it because my ex had been married but his ex wife had cheated. Many times, I told him to go reconcile with his wife and leave me alone. My biological mother who is on her third marriage kept interfering saying that I was being mean and to give my ex a chance. I wish I never listened to her because he cheated on me but on the other hand we never legally married so I don't have to wait for him to pass. It's hard to find men that have never been married since society pushes we marry early and I see a lot of men that did that and regret it. When we know better we do better. God winks at our ignorance and God knows our heart. Just because someone is a parent doesn't mean they will give you godly and wise counsel.

The one thing I disagree with Pastor Jennings on is the "except for fornication", some translations say "sexual immorality" and I believe that the verse is talking about an unlawful marriage or an 'adulterous marriage' so in that case they should divorce because their "marriage" isn't lawful and as long as they're together it is considered sexual immorality among other things. That's what the verse is talking about. Other than that he's right on.

What if you have never been married before but married a man who was married before, we got a divorce and I married another man who's been married 3 times , I got a divorce from him once I learned the truth about remarriage. Where does this leave me? Can I remarry? Is the 1st man considered my 1st husband? Do I reconcile with him? Does this make me still single as though I've never had a husband. If your first husband was a widow or never been married before except to you, he is your husband according to Jesus. If he just like your second husband was married before, you are still single and can remarry. You can chose to be reconciled to your first husband if he is indeed a first time married man to you or stay single and not deal with any other men until he dies.

Once again and ALWAYS, SOUND DOCTRINE!!! I love it!!! What if someone remarries and the first spouse dies during the 2nd marraige. Is the person automatically forgiven of the sin committed or do they still have to repent for the actions.
Don' know read the Bible or ask God
