      Samantha Del Castillo, I assume you are wondering about the compass setting? If so, no, the compass setting doesn't matter. If this doesn't answer your question, please let me know.

    Why were your marks outside of the triangle and how do you determine the start size of the compass

    • @MrMusolf
      @MrMusolf  8 лет назад

      I make the marks outside the triangle so the interior remains clean. You can mark the interior if you wish. The compass setting is arbitrary. I had set it so that I kept the triangle's interior unobstructed for the purposes of seeing the highlighted figures.

    • @MrMusolf
      @MrMusolf  6 лет назад

      What, in particular, would you like to see regarding obtuse triangles? The only construction that changes, slightly, is the orthocenter. For that, the sides of the obtuse angle must be extended outside the triangle. Looking forward to your reaponse.

    Why does circle goes outside or inside the triangle and sometimes it comes out to be perfect 😶

    • @MrMusolf
      @MrMusolf  7 лет назад

      Ashra Khan, that happens if your compass placement and setting is off, even minimally. The sharper your pencil point, the cleaner the construction, usually. Sometimes the compass moves as you are creating the arcs. Many different reasons, but the errors are often hard to see as you are working.

    You already had the radius distance with your first perpendicular bisector lol

    • @MrMusolf
      @MrMusolf  7 лет назад +4

      The incenter is found at the intersection of the angle bisectors, so you need the altitude from the incenter to a side to have the radius length. It can be close when the triangle is nearly equilateral as this one is.

    • @Engineerboy100
      @Engineerboy100 7 лет назад +4

      yep you're right. It has to be a perpendicular bisector smh see what i get for trying to be a corrective smart allic shame on me#
