    I live in Turkey and no craftsman here will teach you how to do the job because they always want to be the wanted man. The craftsmen here think that if they teach you how to do it, you will take away their business and that's why they don't teach you. I learned how to cut and make an elbow template in just three days, I wish your videos had a Turkish option.

    Hi I always enjoy watching your videos. Please advise on how to cut PIR pipe sections insulation to fit on a 90 Degree elbow. The insulation is a double layer 50mm + 50mm and the joints must be staggered. Could you make an example pipe OD 219mm. Long radius elbow 1.5D. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

      @Sheet_Metal_Workshop  9 дней назад

      Hi, will make a segment bend out of metal and use it as a template pull it over the PIR pipe and cut it left and right so I have a seam in the throat and in the back ( 2 part), and repeat the same with a bigger segment where the seam is left and right so you have it staggered only in the circumference on the finished segments, I hope I explained well

    What if you have 40mm insulation or bigger than 50 because you added up 50mm to be 100mm so what of you your insulation thickness is 65, 75 or 115

    • @Sheet_Metal_Workshop

      Hi
      For example if the pipe is 89 mm and the insulation is 115 than the diameter is 319 round of 320
      What I do is diameter 320 divide by 2 + 30mm makes a radius of 190 a 3 segment bend
      That’s an alternative
      Works mostly but not always
