My fiancé is a Korean man. I am Vietnamese. I think Korean would help me communicate with his family. Same if he learns Vietnamese. And that way we can speak to our children in both languages and keep them in the family. This video encouraged me to start learning!!!
The whole scholarship thing really pumps me up. I dream of studying abroad one day but that is a kind of difficult since I'm not rich and smart (just your typical psychology graduated) but i hope my language learning journey will bring me that goal of mine.

I'm a beginner when it comes to learning Korean, just started it a few months ago for fun and to keep my brain active since I'm retired. I've studied a couple other languages in the past, but there is something so "liquid" and beautiful about Korean when it is sung and that is one thing that attracted me since I like to sing as a hobby. My family members watch a lot of K-dramas and some of us listen to K-pop, which helps us cope with the current isolation and stress from the pandemic(and the very harsh winters where I live.) So I decided to take advantage of how much Korean I'm listening to everyday since it will help me learn. I really appreciated your discussion on the history of Hangul--very informative. I have always loved being able to enjoy the user friendly Hangul writing system when I need a break from studying Chinese and Japanese! I love them all, but easy is nice!
Learn the alphabet first. It is so easy, empowering, and it can help you to understand pronunciation more than the romanization! Don’t get fooled by how easy the alphabet is into thinking everything will be that easy though. You are lucky to have a friend to learn with! Good luck!

I've also seen many about cooking. Maybe that could be interesting to you. And nice chance to practice food conected vocabulary.

But Korean is the must-learn language to me because I wanna go to Korea with my fiance one day. I'm work on learning korean, cause I like korean. they are so unique. also my ex girlfriend is a charming Korean, I'm wanna know more about her. but I don't think Korean letter system is a good language system. it so many sounds not exist in Korean letters such as f sound of English. btw, I'm Taiwanese.

Start with Hangul (한글), Korean letter that you can start so easily only by searching on the internet!

It's probably better than mine overall but the accent is just... Too high pitched? Also I think the prononciation was kinda... Off? Idk just my personal thoughts
