The indefatigable Aruna Irani at 77 puts most of us who think we are done in our 50s to shame! Thanks Smita for this opportunity to listen to her first hand. What a personality! God bless her and her family 💐💐👍🙏
Aruna nailed 'married life' - marriage is not security love is security. If love gone, marriage gone. Golden words for today's generation. Worth displaying in family Courts.
I found Aruna Irani really a great person who experiences life so easily, routinely. Candid, full of life, natural with right words and expressions. My love and regards to this lady. 💕 Even at 76, her voice, expressions are quite like that of a good actor. And above all, she is so practical in her personal life and having respect for the sensitivity of others too.
Wow! She is fabulous 🎉 She mentioned her age during Covid she was at higher risk, but looks like she has maintained her health so well. She is currently working as mum to Sanjay duty.. but she can pass off as his sister (maybe even younger one) So happy to hear this podcast. 👏🏼
She’s a living Legend having worked in more than 500 films…a fantastic dancer, outstanding performer and great artist 🙌♥️God bless her with a long life 🙏
Fake people fake talk Kud k bachcho k liye marriage hi chahiye woh bhi 1st hand se 😂 married man se nhi .hema ki kissi beti ne agar married person ka proposal laya hoga toh hema ne mana hi kiya hoga ...

When I saw Aruna Irani ji before me in Costco Store in Brampton, Canada, I was so surprised that I could not say more words than wishing her and she was all smile.--Gurnam Kaur
I have never seen an interview as great as this one with a film actress. Even the great emotional actor Dileep Kumar would not give such a truly emotional and expressive interview, though nobody could beat him as an articulate and versatile speaker. What a straightforward , honest and down to earth approach by Aruna Ji. Obviously, she must be as straight in her private life. A woman with great heart, highly elevated consciousness and that is why Universal Intelligence allotted her a role of looking after 7 sisters and a brother. You are given a burden in life only to an extent you are able to shoulder. She shouldered her part of the job and did it to the complete satisfaction and expectation of the universal consciousness. How nicely she expressed the whole life drama is unique and only few can do it. She is so tansparent, clear and honest. What others will take ages to open up to others, she does it in moments, with great sentiment and control as well. I could see that everything Aruna was saying was sinking into Smita Ji who was feeling perplexed at the integrity and straightforwardness of a woman that too from the Glamour World. When she said that I could have not been the present Aruna Irani, if I had not my sisters and brother whom I bought up with love and responsibility. This is a great lesson for life, provided we have the necessary consciousness to understand it. My hats off to Aruna Ji. What a great lady, God bless her. Smita Ji conducted the interview nicely and was composed all along.
Meeting with veterans always evoke nostalgia. Thanks Smita ji for making an appointment with Aruna Irani ji 🙏 Aruna ji has a zeal for life, her fighter attitude, tough childhood and a child like enthusiasm with lively expressions are joy to watch for. Thanks Smita Ma'am for bringing out her life journey to common man like us. Your interviewing skills are really remarkable. Knowing her story made me emotional too. Hats off to the lady
Everyone says how graceful, strong and epic she is, but imagine in those days, for those decades from age 15 to 55, how much she tolerated each and everyday, the dogmas, stigmas, objectification, lies about her, betrayal and negative name calling?!? But her focus on work, tenacity, ability to strive and humility was her on her plate. She kept her independence and focused so tight on her plate and not other's plate, kept a tight grip on work how ever big or small roles she got with gratitude. But those 4 decades of her life must have been so tough. Now she is relaxed with that same sparkle in her eyes and bright smile. If anyone saw into her soul, I think they will see serious battle scars! 🤔
What an awesome episode??!! There can't be any person like Arunaji. I, as a child, always imitated her dance moves and loves her acting skills in any and all roles. Today I saw her zeal for life, her child like expressions, her going down the memory lane moments, her struggles (was actually crying listening to her) her unbounded love for her family...she is so beautiful inward and more than beautiful outward...At 77, she is so graceful and beautiful (not finding any other word here). Thank you Smitaji. This is the BEST episode I have seen till date.
Such a wonderful lady and reaffirms my understanding of her as how I imagined. I always wondered how these women would have gone through their life and today she opened those pages of life to show us how to live life. Such a graceful lady, love her for bringing such lovely characters to us. Life would not be the same without her dedication to those characters
Incredible! Age 77🙄. Absolute zest for life. What pre-conceived notions we have of people!! You have the ability to draw out the 'real' person. Look forward to watching all your shows...🙏⚘️

Her talking about her life and the struggle she had to bare. Had holding back the tears while telling her story made me cry. What a strong woman? Her struggles and strength made her different person today. She is full of life. Speaking of co-actors is amazing. Love her Carven film. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
She is marathi actress for us. And can't believe she was Sindhi. So proud and so much love. diverse background people makes our Maharashtra more beautiful.

Aruna Irani paired with Danny Denzongpa .

Long Live Aruna Irani.. God bless you in good health.. good old movies you acted.. hope the good old films come again in modern acting.. simple good elegant movies
Aruna Irani is such a honest and humble human being. She spoke truth to power which is very rare today. Simple living and high thinking. All the celebrities living are so fake today. Just like famous Amitabh Bachchan who people like did not have the guts to speak up about Sushant Singh Rajput. Hats off to Aruna. We feel your pain. Thanks Smitaji. Enjoyed your podcast.
Such a pleasure to watch this session, i knew nothing about Aruna ji, such a living legend is she, so inspirational, so motivating...I wonder why industry never gave her the recognition she actually deserved, hats off to you Ma'am, God bless you 🙏
Arunaji, I had watched your films when you were a child. You were so full of enthusiasm and energy. But, let me tell you, that raising a family is not a low job. It is the best job, the most satisfying job for both a woman and a man.
I don't agree with you Smita Prakash that women of our generation (I am 61), used to hand over their earnings to the men in their family to manage. I think it happened mostly in North Indian and South Indian homes. But it wasn't that way in Maharashtra and Gujarat and Goa even during our mother's time. I have handled all my finances from the time I started earning at age 21, apart from making a fixed contribution to family expenses. My husband was all thumbs and 2 left feet where finances or maths was concerned. So he asked only for pocket money and handle the finances by myself. Since he passed away 22 yrs ago, I have earned, planned for, created assets and raised my 2 kids quite well. Even now, I don't take anything from my kids earnings. I run household expenses from my pension and still manage to add to my retirement funds, out of choice. It's become a habit after working and earning for the better part of my life.
I liked Arunaji. Realy legend. Thanx Smitaji and Niraj ji. Very nice talking with Arunaji. वो लोग ही अलग है । प्यारे आज भी लगते है । अरुणाजी आज भी कितनी सुंदर लगती है। Without makeup. 77 age बिलकुल नही लग रही । बहोत अच्छी बाते कही । मेरी आँखो से आँसु छलक गये। Greate and old is Gold. Thanx again.
Always loveable person Arunaji...bas unko sunte hi rahe .. interview kabhi khatm na ho...God bless her ..love you Arunaji ...n thanks for Smita ji..very nice interview...🙏

I am surprised that Aruna Irani is a telugu girl. Hats off to her struggle. I am proud of her being an Andhraite.
I don't agree with her on the marriage issue but that is a terrific interview
Arunaji, I had watched your films when you were a child. You were so full of enthusiasm and energy. But, let me tell you, that raising a family is not a low job. It is the best job, the most satisfying job for both a woman and a man.
Absolutely tuffest job too
after 500 films , Aruna is so grounded , humble, caring female version of Sonu Sood styled human
Amazing actress Arunaji! Love her vibe and honesty
I know it is 6 months ago. But, this was a gem of an interaction with a gem of a person.
Love Arunaji. I grew up watching her films, and she exhibited some best looks. 👌
All her answers are with complete honesty & humility.
Smita .. it is so refreshing and enjoyable when you invite old actors fed up with politics .. how about Dharam ji next ??
I liked Arunaji. Realy legend. Thanx Smitaji and Niraj ji. Very nice talking with Arunaji. वो लोग ही अलग है । प्यारे आज भी लगते है । अरुणाजी आज भी कितनी सुंदर लगती है। Without makeup. 77 age बिलकुल नही लग रही । बहोत अच्छी बाते कही । मेरी आँखो से आँसु छलक गये। Greate and old is Gold. Thanx again.
Aruna is so down to earth. Lovely simplistic interview
DEEPLY APPRECIATE 'ARUNA"-Ji For Her SENSE Of 'RESPONSIBILITY" Towards The FAMILY.......
one of her best roles was in Beta (1992) where she played a strict and cunning mother!!.
