Her lips when she sings "finds me" move just like judy's did. Kind of off the topic, but she was challenged to sing like a series of pop stars on a talk show years ago and did it like a skilled impressionist, she sounded exactly like all the other singers and had their mannerisms down and everything.
Came here to say this. I noticed the mouth and jaw movements, too. She’s a natural mimic. Which is an amazing talent in it’s own right. She has an ability to know with great accuracy how the person she is mimicking is using their vocal tract.

The last thing we know is that she was offered the role & that months ago The Disinsider said that they still were hearing from their trust worthy sources that Ariana is going to play Megara. However none of the cast has officially been announced yet & I don't think filming will start till 2024 or even 2025 especially now after the rumors that Aladdin 2 is coming in 2025 whose director of the previous one was Guy Ritchie who is also going to direct Hercules. So I assume we will hear about the cast this year or next one I think they are keeping it secret but I hope that Ariana already has signed the contract for the role. I suppose Disney is looking for a 2027 release date to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the animated one.

Once again, this is why she's queen. More people are only recently starting to like and appreciate her voice more but I've loved her years ago ever since the first time I heard her. She's good at doing impressions (I think that's what it's called), great at singing AND dancing at the same time. Already had a good voice when she's younger, just needed training. I knew I made the right choice when I made her my favourite singer.
Honestly, it would be weird if she sang with her "pop star voice" in the movie (we all know what happened when Camila Cabello sang like that for Cinderella 😶), so I'm happy she is really going all in for the "musical vocals".

That’s interesting to me, even though she does do primarily pop, you can tell that she has vocal prowess, and that she really knows how to use her voice. I’m not the slightest bit surprised that she can sing this classic song. I think she’s underestimated often. If you want a really fun watch, check out when she does the remake of “emotions“ by Mariah Carey. Whistle notes are not my favorite, but look how effortless they are for her. With a range like that, she has a lot of opportunity and potential. I feel like she knocks it out of the park almost every time. On another note, it’s hard for me to take this “vocal coach“ seriously. He may be really good, but to me it seems like he’s trying too hard and he shouldn’t be surprised that Arianna can pull this off, honestly.

at the beginning of the video she posted to TikTok, there was text to the effect of "have to hide the Glinda hair" as she was in the middle of getting ready to shoot more of the Wicked movies.
This is why I disagree with people saying she intentionally changes her voice to try to "appeal to different demographics" or to pretend to be someone she's not. Studies show that people have malleable and subconsciously-adaptable voices when they have vocal versatility, often imitated other voices, played different characters, and grew up around different parts of the country with different accents.

This is why I disagree with people saying she intentionally changes her voice to try to "appeal to different demographics" or to pretend to be someone she's not. Studies show that people have malleable and subconsciously-adaptable voices when they have vocal versatility, often imitated other voices, played different characters, and grew up around different parts of the country with different accents.

Tristan! I lost access to my old yt account and can't believe I forgot to subscribe to you again. And now this is such a treat to binge your videos again. I can't sing! Like at all. No talent. However I've gotten better and will actually sing in front of people because you're soo good at explaining HOW to execute your sound. Understanding where and how your sound comes out is super fun! Bet my neighbors hate me tho trying to practice 😅
